Easily stacked, freezer, microwave and dishwasher safe, interchangeable and vented lids, space saving, durable, simply genius! No longer is the "Tupperware" drawer a disaster; with the RUBBERMAID EASY FIND LID line various sizes (at least 2 if not 3 containers) share the same lid, and footprint (base size), so multiple sizes can be stacked together, and the lids are interchangeable. It is the height that changes to provide increased/decreased volume. For those who freeze and microwave, the vented lid on the medium (3, 5, and 7 cup) containers is a game changer - no fighting to remove the stiff, frozen lid, just pop the rocker vent, place in the microwave and you are good to go, no more broken fingernails!!! Personally, I would LOVE to see the same vented lids as an option for the 1.25 and 2 cup versions, and even the baby, 4oz ones! This is the perfect kit for those seeking kid, lunch box sized or single serving portion containers. You get 5 of the 4oz containers, 6 each of the 1.25 and 2 cup containers that share the same sized lid, and the same footprint, so can be stacked together. Two of the 3 cup, and one each of the 5 and 7 cup containers, which share the same the identical sized, 4 vented lids, and the same footprint for easily stacking and storing. Sizing is about perfect, easy to hold, easy to portion, easy to add to handle by both kids, and those with difficulty lifting heavy containers. I literally gutted the entire cupboard, tossed out everything, old tupperware, old rubbermaid, old ziploc and glad containers, yogurt containers....the lot, donated it. I am officially and forever done with the frustration of trying to find vanished lids to match containers I've already filled, only to then seek a bottom to fit the lid...we have all been there, often multiple times a day. Well life is too short. Personally, I consider it an investment, of money sure, but also in my sanity, and in simplifying my life. They have been washed, through the dishwasher, in and out of the freezer and microwave, fridge and microwave, tossed in the truck, backpacks, you name it, we have abused them. In 2 years I have had some get damaged by overzelous heating of heavy fat items, that causes slight surface deterioration/roughness, but does not in any way ruin the functionality. I have had just one lid fail: it cracked/split on the edge, despite regularly being dropped, coming out of the deep freeze (yeah, um, that is NOT recommended and likely considered abuse) - out of oh, probably 150 pieces (I bulk cook and freeze in single serving sizes), and frankly I blame that on my spouse, for no reason except that it didn't happen on my watch so assume he did something inappropriate. Yes, as with all plastic storage wear it will discolor if high acid or high fat items that are red/orange/yellow (curry, spaghetti sauce, chilli) are stored or microwaved in them, but near as bad as I have experienced historically. I do wish there was some sort of ability to purchase sizes in bulk, but no other storage wear manufacturer offers that either. Aside from that, I do not have a single complaint, except I HATE red...anyone wanna trade lids with me??? I want all BLUE LIDS from now on. Do yourself a favor, gut that horrid cupboard that attacks you each time you open it; that frustrates you when you cannot find containers and lids that match; and is a constant source of stress - you won't regret it.
