My kitty, who hates collars and will generally attempt - and eventually succeed - to chew them right off, doesn't seem bothered by this collar, so 5 stars for that. That's already a huge hurdle I'm so happy to have overcome. Also, it's precious - very, very cute, so points for being utterly adorable, too. The issue I have with it is that it constantly loosens and needs tightened, and when it has loosened and hangs down like a little necklace on my cat, she has, a few times, gotten it caught on something, or even ensnared her own leg in it. I work from home, and my kids are homeschooled, so there's always someone around to make sure she is safe and rescue her from these situations, but if I were gone all day at work, I might not feel comfortable with her in this collar. That said, the collar does have a breakaway clasp, which seems sturdy (unlike her last collar, which I had to unfortunately tie together because the clasp simply would not stay closed and the collar was on the floor more than it was on her neck), but that clasp has not in fact broken even though I've found her with her leg threaded through it or caught on something, so I haven't seen it work yet, which, frankly, is fine, as she hasn't been struggling when I've found her in this state, but just been chilling out waiting to be rescued. All in all, the fact that it doesn't irritate my kitty to the point that she spends all her time trying to free herself of it, it's overall cuteness - and the pretty, pretty little bell on it - makes this collar a win, and the winning collar of all the ones we have tried so far.
