Same, great packaging I remember!

This game, which I have great memories from my childhood, arrived quickly and the price was fair. What I most want to say is - I'm so happy they have never changed their packaging! It's the exact same way as it was in the 1980's and to me that's just terrific! Thank you.

Great game!

We played this game while on a ski trip in Colorado. My husband played Mastermind as a kid but I'd never played before. On the way home I ordered this because it's a great price and we can continue to play it! It came quickly and it's exactly as expected. Love it!

Just like the one from childhood

This vintage board game is like the one I used to play with my siblings when we were little during trips. It's easy to learn and play. I recommend.

Great game to play with your kids

It's fun to play a game that exercises your kids' brain power, including their analytical skills. The shooting and sports video games are fun, but this old gem offers a nice break from kids simply testing reflexes throughout repetitive, mindless gun battles. I enjoyed this game when I was a kid and I still like it in my 50s.

Exactly as I remember it

This is so much preferable to the modernized versions of the game. The old mushroom pegs make for better experience.

Great brain game!

I learned to play Mastermind when i was an kid, and now at almost 60, I can use it to teach my grandkids critical thinking skills, while still keeping my own critical thinking skills sharp! If you've never played, it works like this... it is a game for two players. In the original MastermInd game there are six colors of code pegs and two colors of key pegs. One person, the code maker, sets up a code of four pegs behind a shield. It can be any combination of colors, including duplicates (after you play for a while, leaving blank peg holes will help make it a bit more challenging!). The other player, the code breaker, starts at the far end of the board and try's guessing the code. For each row the player guesses, the code maker gives them a key peg for each right color they have guessed. The code maker will give a black key peg for a right color peg in the right place, and a white key peg for the right color but the wrong place. No peg is given for wrong colors altogether, or for duplicates not accounted for in the guess. The player guessing has a dozen chances to break the code. A version of this game has been around for hundreds of years, and it is still a great way to teach deduction and scientific reasoning. There are new versions of the game in brighter colors and with an updated board style. I bought this traditional style because that is what I learned on and still love to play! This game arrived brand new, exactly as i remember it, and I would buy it from them again. If you've never played Mastermind, give it a try!

J'ai retrouvé le jeu que j'avais enfant

Je ne sais plus si on me l'avait offert ou si mes parents avaient eu l'idée, mais je m'étais régalé. C'est un bon moyen de développer la logique chez les enfants et/ou même d'entretenir ses facultés d'analyse. Pour avoir testé donc récemment avec une adulte, ça lui a permis de progresser et de retrouver ses facultés après quelques parties. On ne peut donc que le conseiller !
