True to size, light and warm

The snow bib is lightweight but hopefully warm (at least it was warm at -3 C). We have very cold and humid winters so definitely need the warmest things. All my hopes are for innovative materials to be light and warm at the same time. As for the size... I would say it fits true to size. Definitely doesn’t run small. My daughter is tall for her age, but not literally tall. She is 7 but wears mostly 8 which is good for length but rather wide. I’ve purchased M for her (hoping the reviews of this item running small would be true) and it is long for her even when adjusted to the shortest length. I believe it would be perfect for next two seasons and this season I would need to find something else.

These were affordable and I needed new snow pants for my son in the middle of winter. I usually buy Lands Ends snow pants and I would say the Columbia snow pants are pretty good quality but not as nice quality as Lands End. My son just outgrew his size 6 snow pants from LE and I bought him the 10/12 size in Columbia. I highly recommend sizing up. These pants have adjustable waste tabs and they are not too big on my 7 year old who wears size 7 in pants and 8 in tops. These snow pants are waterproof and my son's legs do not get wet and he reports that they keep him warm. Overall, a decent buy. Better than discount stores but not as high quality as Lands End or LL Bean. I would buy them again.

SO Happy With This Purchase!

These snowpants were ordered and received just a few days later. The quality is EXCELLENT and the fit is exactly as expected: my four-year-old wears a size 5/6 in boys and so I ordered a size 6. They are a little longer on him, but we anticipated that, as our son is tall and thin, but with a longer torso than legs. The front and back of the bibs are lined in fleece, an unexpecteed plus. The shoulder straps are wide and flexible, and so were very comfortable for him when we tried them on. The zipper is sturdy. Not only do the pants have stretchy veclro side-tabs which help to pull the bibs in tight at the waist (if desired), but the cuffs and gaiters are sewn to include extra length of fabric, so that as your child grows taller, the pant can be let out to accommodate. Overall EXTREMELY well thought-out product and quality. Highly Recommended.

Way too thin snow pant!

Cannot believe how thin this snow pant is and for $55 it should have some kind of insulation but it has none. Unless this is a major manufacturer defect and they forgot to put insulation in the snow pant-other wise they are a total rip-off for the price. Very disappointed-we needed a quick insulated snow pant that’s why we ordered off Amazon-these snow pants are a joke-never thought Columbia would have such a cheap and misleading item.

Satisfied so far ~ quality seems very good and sized right.

My son wears an Oshkosh 10 so I got this medium 10/12 and hope it will still fit him next winter. Right now, the straps at the tightest point fit him well, so unless he grows several inches by Dec, I think we should be able to get 2 seasons out of it. Columbia has an inner tag on these pants that states you can rip out an inner seam line and the inner lining extends or "grows" with your child, but I don't want to tear anything at this point to find out how that works. Quality seems really good but we haven't had a new snowstorm to try them in yet.

Loved these adjustable bibs

Bought these in xxs awhile ago. Was able to use them for 2 years because of the expandable shoulder straps. My son is very trim and we absolutely loved that we could use the side velcro adjustments to make these bibs comfortable and keep snow out. Just ordered another pair today (a couple years after the first pair) in size small. Small ended up being just perfect, but would only last this season so returned and purchased child medium. Kind of big on him (4'3" and 55lbs) but with the adjustables, it's going to work just fine this year and next!
