Large Pot That Fits My Induction Hot Plate

I needed a large pan to use with my induction hot plate while going through the remodel from hell. I like the fact that there are no rivets that go through the sides. This makes cleaning up much easier. The steel is substantial. The lid is not vented, which is what I prefer. The diameter fits the ring on my induction hot plate perfectly and heats the pan evenly. The pan height was a good fit in my pan storage area, too. Excellent to cook in! Perfect size for cooking large batches of pasta, stews, soups, etc.

This is a REALLY good pot for 9" burner rings on Electric stove

Fits my flat top electric stove 9" ring perfectly. Great heat distribution. 11 quart Tall profile holds plenty of product without taking up excess stove top real estate. I would buy this again. v/r rch

Heat dristribution

This pot is designed for use on a stove with electric heat elements. I am using it a gas cooker. Because the bottom has a thick layer of metal on the bottom the bottom edge of the pot is exposed to excessive heat from the gas burner. This results in the contents heating up faster aroung the bottom outside edge of the pot. the food can burn unless you watch it.

Best stock pot I’ve ever had!

My pot arrived in perfect condition. It’s quite heavy but works great. I used mine for the first time last night, I cooked 4 club packs of lean hamburger meat which I pressure canned 14 pints. It was a welcome change to have a pot large enough for all the ingredients and mix it without it landing on the stove. The heat distribution is even and heats up with a low flame. Nothing stuck to the bottom! It was tricky to wash because it doesn’t fit in the sink real well so most of the washing was on the counter. The little discolouration can easily be removed with vinegar and a bit of warm water, then rinse with plain water and wipe. The outside I just polished it with paper towel and vinegar and wala looks like new. I highly recommend this pot to anyone considering it, the quality is excellent, worth every penny!

Put on the liter markings

I'll know more after a year of use, but it is what I wanted a seems to be well made. One flaw, for me: it does not have the liter and 1/2 liter markings. In my opinion it should have marking by 1/2 liter for the first 4 or 5 liters then by liter. That would help with measuring and planning quantities.
