WOW! Now I know what to hold onto when a tornado comes through.

The gate fits perfectly in my 24" bathroom door opening leading into my master bathroom/closet where I keep my cat litter boxes so my 30 lb., five-month-old puppy stays out. I could only work with two of the pressure mounts because the opening was small, one on the bottom and one from the top to close the latch. I did not use all of the tools, e.g. wall cups and screws, because there was no room for them. I pulled the gate both directions, and it did not budge. I love how the gate opens either direction and automatically closes behind me. I placed pet stairs on the inside of the gate so my cats can jump onto their cat tree to get to their food and water, which is on top of a dresser. This way, the puppy cannot reach them if they want to be left alone. Trickery! Rest assure, that gate is going nowhere. Even if a tornado came through, the gate and where it is pressure mounted to the wall would remain standing! At least now I know what to hold onto if a tornado comes along.

Very secure safety gate. Perfect for stairs.

My doorway is 30" wide at the top of the stairs. I had bought another gate originally in a local store. It was the only one available to fit my doorway (Regalo). That one had issues that made it impractical and dangerous. The gate opening was much more narrow which would trip me up when carrying the diaper bag and baby. No matter how I adjusted it the thing never seemed to align well so it didn't always lock when you shut it. The bars were spaced further apart so my fat cat could get thru. The last straw was when we had a party and some kids went downstairs. They didn't shut the door and the gate was wide open while someone else let my toddler run towards it. Luckily one of the older kids was close and shut the door before she got to it. So this gate fits well. It has a nice sized gate opening. No big gaps. The door shuts and locks automatically. You have to pull the lever back and lift the gate to get it open. This will delay your toddlers ability to open it. It also won't accidentally swing in the wrong direction (towards the stairs.). It has double sided adhesive as well as screws to use with the tension to make a secure mount.

Great gate...if your door is less than 26” wide.

So I am confused by this gate. It’s supposed to fit up to a 26” wide door. My bathroom door, where I gate my puppy while I’m not home, is 26” exactly. This gate barely fits. It’s not quite big enough. The stoppers on each end barely reach the door frame, and they don’t screw in. They use a screw in stopper and just slide into the openings on the gate. So if the opening is too big, you can’t secure it. We managed to put some extra materials at the top to secure lessen the width to secure it there, but the puppy keeps knocking the bottom ones out. So, the moral of the story is, only use this in openings less than 26”. Otherwise, I really like it. I love that the gate locks open so when I’m home I can leave it open securely so she can still get to her water and puppy pad. I also like that it only has vertical bars. I don’t have to worry about her climbing out.

Strong gate but internals not so much

I got the gate because the doorway that we were trying to block off was smaller than normal. The gate fit great! The pull back latch on the top of the gate is super strong, and at times too strong so be careful of your finger tips...After 2 months of use the internals for the latch broke. Took it apart and the only piece holding the latch in was a tiny sliver of plastic. Completely snapped off and left the gate in a locked position. The gate itself is still usable, just can't lock it. I feel like the internals should be made of better material, but other than that flaw it's a decent gate.

Wide gate opening

Our laundry and work room have open doorways. We needed a gate to close them off when our small grandchildren came over. We wanted a gate we could leave up and open when they were not here. Most gates were too narrow to just walk through comfortably like an open doorway, this gate was perfect. The only problem was the bottom rail which we would end up kicking and stubbing toes on. A piece of red duck tape across the rail took care of that immediately. We have had the gate for almost 2 years and it gets a workout from 6 children under 5 years old who hang on it and rattle it wanting to get to the back room to play with all their grandfathers cool toys (tools).

Auto-close feature is faulty; otherwise easy to use

This gate fit our doorway well and was fairly easy to install on my own. The magnet and auto-close features worked on install, but began working only intermittently about two days later. After about a week of use, the auto-close feature stopped working completely and the magnetic lock at the top would only latch if the the top of the gate was jostled a few times. I still have the gate in use, because the bottom anchors it sufficiently even when the magnet lock is not engaged. I would investigate other options if the auto-close feature is important for you.

Love the easy close

This was the only gate we could find that would fit an unusual narrow door way in our new house. Installing was a bit tricky. The pressure part that you twist was very hard to maneuver during installation. We had to use pliers. My favorite part is the easy close. When you tap it closed it doesn’t move the gate from the frame. We have other gates that we constantly have to adjust due to them moving when the gate is slammed. I do wish it came in more colors such and black or dark brown.

Durable product and works well

This gate accomplished what we needed. We have a narrow doorway in our camper to the bedroom area that we needed to keep the dogs out of. We had to put it at the top of a few stairs. Pros- easy to open and swings closed on its own. Con- can't take a lot of pressure against it or it would move on the wall. Admittedly, where we have it is a difficult spot and is extra narrow. This was the only gate narrow enough to work for us and because of that it just fit, so we couldn't put a lot of tension out. I would still recommend this and will probably buy a few more for my house. It is very well made and durable.
