The game is alright. Plays like the other Talismans. Voldemort acts more like the Grim Reaper in Talisman, but less scary. If you roll a 1. Then after your turn, you roll for him to move. The only thing on his card are might and magic stats, and his power determines how far or close he is towards the school. If you beat him in battle, you roll a dice to determine what you get out of him, but if you lose, you just lose one health. Nothing really bad happens to you. When my group played everyone was able to beat him. He really wasn't a scary threat everytime he caught up to us. Characters are alright. It just doesn't make sense that you can't play main characters like Snape, Ron, serious black, or Hermione. We played for about 3 hours, and we never once attacked each other because there was no reason to until the very end, or hardly faught any monsters. One thing I learned after I played the game, you can trade in trophies with the cost of 5 and not 7 like the other talisman games, so you can level up faster. Followers have alignments, so if you draw a card, and they match your alignment, you keep it, but if you are opposite then you fight it. But most times everyone was just drawing the right alignment. There was hardly no battles. Maybe, I just need to play this game a second time. After the game I realized you can fight other people's followers and steal them as trophies to trade in to increase your strength. Also, you can only have 3 followers at a time. Will this game have an expansion pack in the future? I want there to be so badly because I feel like it lacks so much characters, enemies, and items. But I doubt they will release it, sadly. Also, the board fails to mention certain things. For example in the inner region when you do a quest at the Quidditch field, you get the piece you need to enter the castle. The rule book says it, but the board doesn't for some strange reason. I was the player that hasn't reached that point in the game yet while the rest did, but for my friends who never played Talisman, they didn't know that once they complete a quest they gain the key that they need to get into the castle. We were all running around wondering when we will get the right item to get into the castle. There's 3 ways to get it. Drawing it, Rolling a 10 at haggrets house, or doing a quest at the Quidditch field. Overall, it's a solid game. Now me knowing the rules more, it seems like the game is a faster pace than the original Talismans.
