this thing is good!

Hm, how does one wax eloquently about a toilet paper holder? :) Mine has been in use for about 8 months, and it is solid as a rock. Finish (chrome) is perfect. It's flush against the wall. I think I used different anchors than it came with...like I said, it's been 8 months and that info is long gone from memory lol...but I often use different anchors when installing stuff if the ones that come with it are not enough. It is sleek, modern, very functional, and as I said, very solid. Leaves enough space between the arm and the wall for the really fat rolls of TP. Levelling it was no more difficult than anything else that I've installed that has only one attachment point. You have to get the back piece just right or it will make a difference on the arm. Some of these reviews make it sound like they got a totally different item than the one I did. I think it's great! Excellent value, too.

Stylish

Looks great! Attached to the side of a vanity, so we didn't have to use any drywall anchors. This style always seems a little wobbly, with the allen head set screw to hold it in place. I'd recommend you keep that handy so you can tighten as needed, otherwise you'll start to see it lean little by little until its sitting at a slight angle....I am thinking that I might just silicone the thing to the vanity to keep it in place, since I won't be removing it any time soon. Stylish and well made, except for how it attaches to the wall, which you'll have with any holder of this style. For the price, its a good buy!

Form over function.

It's fairly easy to tilt the arm out of level especially if you don't find a stud to attach to. The plastic drywall anchors have a lip which doesn't allow the back of the holder to sit flush on the wall (so friction won't be helping you out). The resulting gap makes the holder wobble and easily tilt out of level. I am planning to cut off the dry anchor lip with a straight razor (while in place) and see if it will sit flush and whether that helps the other issue. Cutting off the raised lip works great. It's a bit tricky to do and you might need a bit of touch up paint. Make sure you use a sharp razor...a decent amount of force is needed. Afterwards, the holder sits flush and friction helps the rotation. On second thought a sharp chisel would probably work better to do the cutting.

Looks Great

I only gave a 4 stars on the install part, because I had to modify the bracket a bit to get the actual toilet paper holder to fit over it. Other than that I love this product. I bought this type of toilet paper holder in hopes that the cat can't destroy the toilet paper. So far it has worked great.

We Really Like the Product BUT Attachment Issues Overwhelm an Attractive Modern Design and Good Price

Very modern looking holder. It was fairly easy to install in about 15 minutes using my own anchors and screws to attach the mounting plate to the wall (concrete construction). The hex screw seems to a bit small to attach the holder to the mounting plate and the included hex wrench is accordingly small and not very easy to use. The placement of the hex screw underneath is typical of similar products and is indeed a difficult location but changing the location would likely put it in view and would be a bit unsightly. The hex screw and attachment method does is not strong enough to keep the holder level so expect constant tightening - more so than other holders that use a similar attachment method. Better and stronger attachment hardware would allow me to give 5 stars as we really like the product.

Continually loose! Frustrating.

Although we really liked the quality and look of the product, we had difficulty with the toilet paper holder staying in place on the wall. We renovated our beach condo and bought all the Gatco tissue holder, hooks and towel holders. Did not have much of an issue with the hooks but the toilet paper holder and towel racks came loose and we could not get them to tighten. So we now have to replace them or figure out a different way to mount so they stay put. The mount on the wall is tight but once you put the product on the mount, there is not much to keep it tight (just a little screw on the bottom). So for that reason, I would not recommend.

Gets the job done

The item looks good and installation was as expected. It would get a fifth star if the allen screw at the bottom, that locks the device to the wall mount weren't so small and difficult to turn. It was hard to get the holder to lock tightly to its mounting bracket. Of course it is not holding a lot of weight, just a roll of toilet paper.

Best toilet paper holder

I replaced the toilet paper holder of the same brand that is sideways with this one. The sideways one did not stay level and the toilet paper would fall off. This one works great and I prefer it over other styles.

Very stylish toilet paper holder. I mounted it inside a cupboard door and it works great.i had to install it opposite the intended direction in the picture so the tiny securing screw is at the top and shows...not a concern of mine, but I thought it was worth the mention.
