Works like its supposed to - RV height limitations

Checked various routes where I know the height is 13' 6" and setting the RV dimensions keeps routing around those train bridges, when setting Garmin RV795 height to limit the route. Just what I wanted, expected it to do (at least for the ones it knows about...???) Just an extra check, alert for me to help out while driving. I will have my RAM 12" display showing route along with my iPhone with google maps helping find the route, destination, so any weird Garmin GPS directions will be very apparent and not followed. Just needed a height check of RV route for driving.

Set Up Is a Nightmare - Terrible User Experiance

This thing constantly restarts and goes into demo mode even when already in demo mode. You can only set it up once you take it for a drive! The app is far worse. It cannot recognize when you have given it permissions, such as your device location. If I can't get through this, I am returning it! Terrible experience! Update: The only way I could get it out of demo mode was to take it for a drive and then answer prompts while driving. Totally unsafe!

Do not buy this GPS

Update 1-9-2023; I officially despise this GPS. It randomly gives you traffic advice, after insisting on connecting to and controlling your phone, traffic updates is why you pair it in the first place, but in 7 recent major USA cities, it failed to warn me about traffic, sharp turns, weather and even getting to the correct destination. I am done with this GPS, and I love a stand alone gps above a phone any day. I bought this for the camera combo with dedicated GPS, because it is nice to not use a smart phone for everything, especially on long trips. Multiple times this GPS will tell you to turn left to just have you make a u-turn, because you're going the wrong way. The lane warning constantly goes off because, I don't know why but any line it sees in the road whether painted lane line or tar, it falls apart emotionally. Searching for a destination on the device is a joke, it cannot ever find what I am looking for, so you have to use the stupid app on your smart phone and send the address you want to the device. If you tell it you don't have a trailer, it will make you jump through hoops to have normal functionality until you put it back into trailer mode. Multiple times it has taken me through private apartment complexes thinking they were roads, only to have to turn around and head back the other way, how Garmin is still so bad at maps is beyond me, they've been making GPS devices for well over a decade. I wanted to like it more, but I don't. I cannot send it back, I kept it past the return window and again, I like having a dedicated GPS. Another issue is when you use the app on your phone for traffic updates and such, it sonstantly turns the effing volume of your phone down and if you use your phone as your music device you find yourself always fighting over volume control and there is no way I can find to disable this. Nor can I find out why TF it even does this.

Not that great

As far as tracks, looking for previous destinations, setting new ones, it gets a c-. My old nuvi is much better. The only thing I like is the size.

Bad mounting options

The GPS works great and the dash cam is nice but the suction cup hast to be above the GPS so you cannot mount it on your dash to not obstruct your view

Propane surveillé les panneaux

J'ai testé s'il tenait en compte la quantité de propane lors des déplacements. J'ai simulé un déplacement avec roulotte en indiquant que j'avais 3 bonbonnes de propane (30 livres chaque). Le GPS RV CAM 795 a passé par le tunnel Louis-Hippolyte Lafontaine alors que c'est interdit. Donc soyez vigilant si vous devez prendre une route où le propane est réglementé. Je ne sais pas si c'est mieux du coté des États-Unis. J'utilise ce GPS en mode français. La prononciation des noms des rues est bonne, l'écran est clair et la ventouse qui supporte le GPS sur le pare-brise n'as pas tenu lors de ma première utilisation mais par la suite sa tenu tout le trajet (700 km). J'ai bien aimé le fait qu'il mentionne et affiche que l'on peut resté sur les 2 voies de gauche lorsque la route se sépare en quatre voies pour deux trajet différent.
