My daughter likes him

This product is a bit on the loud side and I'm not referring to the character talking I'm referring to his gears that makes him move his mouth and arms. It's pretty noisy and pretty hard. The baby likes looking at it and laughs at it but I won't let her play with it until she's much bigger. Until then he's on the shelf playing peekaboo from a little distance.

Does not play the songs from the show

This is very cute (but overpriced) however, it does not play any of the songs from the show. My toddler loves the sweet home song that Elmo sings to Tango on the show. This toy plays a couple of unknown dancy songs. It is cute and fun, but not quite what I was hoping for.

Elmos arm came off of the blanket and my son only had it a week. Other than that the sound quality is great and it works as it is described in description.

I thought - if this Elmo is as good as the Gund peek-a-boo

To be frank, had we not received a similar peek-a-boo teddy bear as a gift (also made by Gund that moves its arms to cover its face and it talks), then I may not have been interested in spending this much on a stuffed toy. However, I thought - if this Elmo is as good as the Gund peek-a-boo, then my 20-month old daughter will love it since she can't get enough of Elmo :) Turns out, I wasn't disappointed. This Elmo toy is fantastic - very high quality, soft "fur", super soft attached blanket, and when you turn it on, it actually says quite a bit and really grabs my daughters attention. I think the only downside is that, because of the electronic innards, it's not the type of toy your baby could snuggle with. But aside from that, I don't have anything negative to say. If you're looking for a unique and really cute gift, then I would highly recommend this Elmo doll!

He is great! He is perfect for keeping the very little ones as well as the toddlers busy and amused. All of the Elmos are fun....

Entertaining!

Bought this as a gift for my 2 year old niece. I was surprised how soft this toy was. Elmo goes through a bunch of phrases while he lifts and lowers his blanket to cover his face - this can go on for a little while. Super entertaining for young kids. The on/start button on Elmo's foot is easy to figure out for kids (unfortunately for her parents, they'll have to endure my niece repeatedly pushing the start button causing Elmo to go through his phrases non-stop over and over again for hours :D).
