WARNING--kit does not have nearly enough velcro for 20 vents. 30" of velcro included is ridiculous.
Description said kit is good for attaching 20 vent guards. Instructions say to cut velcro into 2-3" strips. Velcro included with the kit is 30" long. 30" divided by 2 inches gives you 15 strips. 30" divided by 3 inches gives you 10 strips. Instructions say to put a strip on each of the 4 sides of the vent. If you cut the strips in 2" sizes, you could attach vent guard material to 3 vents and the 4th vent would get your remaining 3 strips. If you use 3" strips on 4 sides, you can attach 4 strips to 2 vents and have 2 strips left over for the 3rd vent. As you can see, not nearly enough for the advertised 20 vent guards manufacturer says you can get out of the kit. I asked them to send me more velcro so I could finish this according to their directions, but twice they sent me a link to buy more velcro from them. NO WAY IN HELL. Enough should have been included in the kit to start with--charge more for the kit and include what is necessary to attach 20 vent guards based on their instructions. So irritating. I cut the velcro strips in to 2-3" each, and attached velcro to the two ends of each vent (not 4 strips as instructed) and was only able to attach vent guards to 6 vents. I have 8 vents downstairs and the same number of vents upstairs. I was able to attach vent guards with the included velcro using half as much as instructed on one-third of my vents--6 vents. Not even close to 20 vents. Guy on chat tried telling me the amount of velcro included is usually enough and it depends on the size of the vent. Size of the vents do not matter when instructions say attach 4 strips that are 2-3" long to each vent. I have small vents but that doesn't even matter. Instructions say 4 strips on each vent--strips being 2-3" each. Ugh.

did not get the amount of filter material stated
you are suppose to get 16" x 60" of filter material but mine only measured 56" long so I lost 2 vent filters from the roll - not good. The material is standard filter material and it did come with the velcro strips which I didn't use because it is easier to use ceramic magnets to hold them in place.

I finally found it!
My place is dusty! I wanted to apply filters on the vents for quite sometime, but I just didn't know how to do it nor did I know what type of application to use. Then I ran into this product. I bought this because the roll provides for customizing the size for each vent. Never having applied filters before, I took the vent covers off and I sized the filter so that all sides are covered to prevent any leakage of dust, and put the vent cover back. This is an old house, and all of the the vents are on the floor without any screws, as the vents were cut in when we put in hardwood floors years ago. Anyway, after several vents, I just put the filters on top because it was much easier to do, as it was difficult to force the vents and filters back into place. I still have three more vents to do and and I ran out of filter, so I ordered another roll to finish the job. After I get all filters on the vents, I'll have to clean the place top to bottom, wiping down every surface and all of my clutter collectibles. I really hope this cuts down on the bad air and dust particles that have been flowing around the house for years and creating a dust cover on everything. Just so you know, I have cleaned and painted many times. By the way, I bought a roll for my sister who also owns an old house that puts out lots of dust and other particles that make the inside air bad. Thank goodness I found the solution!!

Works as filter for Airbrush spray booth
Works great as a budget replacement filter for an airbrush spray booth. Easy to cut to size and you get a stack of them for dirt cheap and they seem to do the same thing as the official filters. Includes a strip of velcro which was coincidentally a brilliant way to install them as well. Peel off when dirty and then slap the next slice to the velcro and you're suddenly all fresh again so you can get back to work. I included a picture so you can see... note that it could be attached with a bit more care for a "neater" look, but for me function was the only concern. No fuss and no getting ripped off buying a jacked up piece of foam that's blue on one side. Ridiculous and insulting to all consumers who have not yet discovered this product.

Good purchase
It shuts my furnace off. So it’s really thick and works great however I did my research for this product and it shouldn’t shut down the furnace. But it does. Still works great for covering food smells from other apartments. Good purchase

Far less expensive than precut filters
Works well to trap debris and dust in the floor vents. I use it layered with the carbon filters (buy the bulk sheets not the precut ones) to control any odour travelling through the vents. I've noticed a difference in how much dust settles on the furniture or floats through the air.

super thick filter
These are very thick filter, well made, and feels durable (only put it on for 2 days). I used them on my return air vents. For regular floor register vents, you can only put it on the top, not inside, be aware of that. Overall, happy the thickness and big size that I can custom cut to fit. Will buy again.

I give three stars because the application process was super easy. For the amount you pay for this and based on the picture it looks like you get a lot more. I have a house built in 1860 so I have square vents which is why I chose this over pre-cut filters. I have 6 vents to do. Three normal and three square. There is enough filter to do all of them but only enough Velcro to do barely one, Like barely! I cut corners and had to slice down the length of the Velcro to make two slimmer pieces nd filled the edges with double sided tape. So that would be my biggest issue. If you are going send a large piece of filter you should at least include enough Velcro to it the whole roll. I will be checking some home stores to see if I can find these at less of a cost and/or get the filters and the Velcro separately.

It saves us from air pollution, dust and allergies. I ins told on the window and you cannot believe how much dust it trapped until now. recommend it
