run small and narrow
don't size down on this particular ballet slipper! my street shoe size is 8W. thanks to reviews, I sized up to 8.5D in these, but it wasn't quite enough. I would say size up one whole size for the right fit ,and take into account that they run narrow when choosing width. they are nice supple leather, the elastic cross-strap is comfortable and placed correctly. hopefully they will stretch a bit as I wear them, but a 9D would have been better.

Perfect for the disabled!
I'm disabled, and bought these to wear outside while going to consultations with foot specialists. The last guy I saw finished up, then told me that nobody else had ever come in wearing ballet shoes before. He wasn't criticizing, just looking a bit puzzled. I picked him. On the way home I stopped for groceries, and that was a bit weird, but pretty funny. The elderly lady ahead of me kept turning halfway back, clearly dying to ask me a question. I have no idea of what kind of dance-related accident she was picturing. She blurted out, "Oh no, were you a ballerina? How tragic!" What a doll!

Tight fit
They are an odd fit. A bit small, narrow and are short from bottom of heel to top of heel.
