Leviton quality

This outlet was used to replace an Eaton GFCI that failed. I've never had a problem with a Leviton product and the build quality of this outlet gives me confidence that will continue. The installation was typically easy and the outlet is performing as expected. Don't straddle the fence on spending a bit extra for Leviton quality, just do it and never worry about it again. It's not worth pinching pennies on items like this where you could risk life and property by being cheap.

Excellent product; solved my issue!

Used it for an outdoor plug outside where the GFCI failed to work. This was EZ to install and the oversized weatherproof cover was excellent!

It seemed nice, but it did not last.

This outlet seemed to be a good buy. None of my local suppliers had a water-resistant, outdoor, GFCI outlet in stock (well, one did, but it was a one-hour round trip to buy it and it was white -- I wanted grey). Installation was straightforward, price was nice compared to the other available options, what could I complain about? Well, this outlet lasted two weeks and then went bad. I checked (and rechecked) that it was wired correctly; it was. I checked the breaker; nothing wrong there. I swapped it out for another GFCI, that one worked fine. Yep, this one is faulty, so I'm sending it back. GFCIs do go bad, but that usually takes about ten years, not two weeks. Two stars because the product failed (usually this would get it a one-star review, but I understand that this is not totally unexpected with GFCIs). Fortunately, I'm able to return it within Amazon's return window. If this thing had gone another week and then failed, I'd be a little bit more angry.

Hopefully the fact that this extra heavy duty industrial grade weather/tamper resistant GFCI plug will stand the test of time and weather...
