You Get What You Pay For.

Purchased two lights for our dogs to use on their nightly walks. One still works the other one’s battery died and will not accept a charge. Total time owned less than 60 days.Update I notified Amazon who quickly replaced the item.Hopefully this one will work.So to that end I’m revising my rating to 4 stars.

Just what was needed

We have the honor of rehoming a new wonderful dog unexpectedly. With a large mostly fenced rural yard we need to keep an eye on her while shes acclimating to her new space and us. Her beautiful color blends into nature and shadows shocking well and I can hardly see her! Walla! With this light thats not a problem anymore. I attached it to the grab strap of her halter and leave it there. Now we have a new habit of turning it on everytime she goes out, day or night. 1. She is highly visible. It allows me to give her space to explore without fear of her stepping outside of boundaries unseen. It helps us both build confidence. I can seee where she is, coming or going, running or walking all in the pitch black dark. I can keep a safe eye on her in any direction without having to stand next to her, which I really appreciate. 2. If she did get out she would be seen clearly from all directions reducing road hazards. Lets hope that never happens. ???? The silcone would not stretch around the 2” portion of the halter, the 1” section was max. It holds steady with no issues. Sometimes i have to press the button a couple times to turn it on, likely my issue not the light. I charged it once full and oniy use in interval periods througout the day. I have not needed to recharge it after several days. I suspect once a week or so I will. Even off, the pink color helps to see her, though not from behind a tree at 50 yds like the light. Its a game changer and I’m very happy with it. Highly recommended.

Very helpful in the dark

This is a great light. Battery lasts a long time. Very easy to charge. The light is bright but the item is small and it fits nice on the collar

LOVE THESE!!!!

As early morning walkers, dark winter mornings make it hard to find our dogs when they are off leash in the dog park. We've tried many options but these are hands down the best. Easy to attach and operate. They don't dangle down and annoy the dogs. The light is bright and strong. And rechargeable. Just perfect for our needs.

Wouldn’t stay on harness

I attached this to one of the straps on my dog’s harness (the same width and material as her collar, so I think the results would be the same on there). Unfortunately, it was off and on the ground within a couple minutes. I put it back on, and the same thing happened. To its credit, I suppose, it survived both falls to the pavement just fine. I ended up putting it on the handle of her leash to make me more visible walking at night, and it works well there, but not on my dog, which was the whole point. The item I bought as a replacement is also rechargeable, but has a significantly brighter light and costs less. This one is alright and works for some purposes, but I wouldn’t buy it again for my dog.

Dog flashlight

Got one of these in green at a local pet store a year ago and wanted a pink one for my new dog but that color wasn't available. Yeah Amazon. The charge lasts a long time...months with nightly walks and still charged after sitting unused all summer. Easily attached to the collar or harness or leash with the stretchy silicone band. My dog likes having his own flashlight so he can see where he's going and I can easily see where he's at (he's black and diappears in the dark) Single button clicks through 3 light options... super bright, less bright, and flashing.

Broken After One Year

I decided to go for a premium rechargeable light for my dog harness. The electronics have worked fine and continue to do so after one year. The plastic lip which the strap hooks onto has failed, making it unusable. The corners on the lip have either worn out or snapped off. I was really expecting at the this price that it would last at least a few years

Praktisch, weil wieder aufladbar, aber mit Mankos

Zunächst das positive: ich habe nach einem Licht für meinen Hund gesucht, das man aufladen kann statt ständig Batterien austauschen zu müssen. Es war gar nicht so einfach so etwas zu finden. Umso erfreuter war ich über das "Max & Molly Pet Light". Es gibt insgesamt 3 Helligkeitsstufen und eine Blinkfunktion. Mein Hund war damit gut sichtbar. Jetzt zu den Nachteilen: Mein Hund WAR damit gut sichtbar, er hat es nämlich heute nach noch nicht mal 3 Wochen im Einsatz im Wald verloren. Das ist Schade, hängt aber mit der Befestigung zusammen. Die besteht nämlich aus einer schmalen Gummischlaufe, die nach einer Woche schon eingerissen ist. Mein Hund wälzt sich gerne auf dem Rücken liegend im Gras - wie vielleicht viele Hunde - und dafür ist die Bestigung nicht gemacht. Auch einem hängen bleiben an einem Ast o.ä. hält dieses Gummi nicht stand. Und so ist das Pet Light auf nimmer Wiedersehen verschwunden. Ich würde mir da eine andere stabilere Lösung wünschen. Vor allem für den Preis. Der zweite, vielleicht nicht so dramatische Nachteil ist, dass das Licht ziemlich grell ist, selbst auf der kleinsten Stufe. Wer im Dunkeln zu seinem Hund herab schaut, ist danach blind. Ich würde mir warmweiße oder gelbe LEDs oder eine getönte Oberfläche der Pet Lights wünschen. Damit wäre ein Hund immer noch gut sichtbar. Am Ende werde ich es trotzdem wieder kaufen - die Auswahl an wieder aufladbaren Lichtern ist nicht so groß. Wir werden aber an einer anderen Befestigungsmöglichkeit tüfteln.

Befestigung nicht robust

Diese LED ist die einzige einigermaßen sinnvolle wiederaufladbare Lösung für ein Hundehalsband die fest sitzt und den Hund somit nicht beim Laufen stört. Ein vollständiges Leuchthalsband finde ich unästhetisch. Leider reißt die Befestigungsschlaufe viel zu leicht und ist im Anschluss unbrauchbar. Wenn man Glück hat hält diese ein paar Wochen oder Monate. War schon mein zweiter Versuch mit diesem Produkt. Die Robustheit der Schlaufe, gerade für breitere Halsbänder, muss dringend vom Produktdesign nachgebessert werden.

Gummiabdeckung löste sich - verloren

Prinzipiell ist das LED Licht gut verarbeitet und leuchtet auch super. Leider hat sich bereits während der ersten Benutzung outdoor (normaler Spaziergang ohne großes Herumtoben) die Gummiabdeckung des Einschaltknopfes gelöst, und die Abdeckung ging verloren. Der On/Off-Button liegt nun offen u lässt sich nur mehr sehr fummelig ein- und ausschalten. Dafür ist es dann schon ein teurer Spaß...
