Wish this came with crayons. 4 colored pencils don't give enough variety

The kids do seem to enjoy it. But, there are only 4 colored pencils in the whole set - yellow, pink, green and blue. The yellow barely shows up. The pencils seem to have hard lead, so they don't color very well. Younger kids also have a harder time using pencils. If you buy a set as a gift, PLEASE consider getting a box of crayons to go with it. Kids like having more colors on their designs. It doesn't come with paper, so cut copy paper in half. It fits between the plates and the top frame. The top doesn't bounce as much when you rub the black crayon over the paper and plates to see the outline of the design if you first completely close the tray and lock the top frame down. We bought both the original and the princess sets so the kids could swap plates between the sets and make even more outfits. These two sets have different colored plates so it's easy to put them in the right case. Two sets also means both kids can make designs at the same time.

Fun activity!

My daughter loves this toy. Brought back memories to when I had one. We bought additional colored pencils as it only came with a few. The design could be improved. She is five and has trouble opening and closing the latch on her own. Otherwise it’s a great toy!

I'm 37 and bought this for my 7 year old daughter bc I remembered mine from my childhood. It's identical. My daughter loves that she has a toy that her mom used to play with. Just buy it!!!

It works as expected and is just like the one I remember using as a kid. Comes with a rubbing crayon and some colored pencils, the storage tray is nice but the frame has to be open in order to pull out the tray

My daughter got this for Christmas loves it! I had something like this when I was young and loved it! Only thing I can say is that it dosent come with paper so u have to cut to size some paper.

Perfect gift

This activity kit is simple and really easy to use but lasts very long. Super easy for my 3yo niece to use and she can make endless variations to colour in. Definitely recommend for kids who love colouring.
