Exactly what we needed

Same as everyone else... after a shower remodel the parts provided with our shower handle weren't long enough. This extension is a lifesaver. 5 minute install.

I remodeled my bathroom and accidentally installed the valve assembly too deep into the wall. This kit saved me the headache of replumbing the shower.

When you need it, these are great.

My tile guy set the valve in too far from the finished surface so the standard trim wouldn't install. These extensions are the only way to make it work. I only needed a short extension but you only have the choice of one or two inches. These aren't too bad to modify with a hacksaw and a file. I made my extension about a half of an inch. Of course then you have to cut the screw down a half an inch also. In the end it made my install look very nice.

It came, arrived fine, fit perfectly. What more can one ask. Sorry I don't take pics. I'm not that "Ooh let me take a picture of this" kinda guy. And plus it's behind the handle and honestly I don't know how to take pic, upload all that tech stuff

Just What I Needed for Outdoor Shower

Needed to replace the escutcheon on an outdoor shower. The original was installed flush with the tile wall. The replacement is installed ABOVE the tile, so I needed this expension. NO additional problems.

I changed out a shower that had flat panel walls to one that had raised fiberglass walls 1.5" thick. With the extension it allowed me to keep the water control valve in the same location so I didn't have to re-plumb. The shower handle is still feels sturdy when turned so no concerns there. You will need some of your old parts from your handle. It gives you exactly one inch more of length than the normal parts. Saved me a lot of time! Thanks

Worked perfect

Truthfully, my plumber forget to incorporate space for tile and mortar...when the job was and ready for the trim kit, the sleeve was too short. The 1 inch extension worked perfect and saved me from opening the wall.

Works great!

After I installed 3/8” tile the tap wouldn’t fit on anymore. I was worried the 1” kit wasn’t going to be big enough but it works great. Saved me from having to cut open the drywall on the other side to reposition the valve. The extension is brass as well (some people were saying it was plastic) which is great. Should last a long time.

Worked like a charm

Had a plumber do the valve rough in and then I put in a three piece surround. Didn’t realize everything was too far back until after it was wrestled into place. At that point it was either tear apart the drywall behind the valve, remove the surround, or give this a try. It worked like a charm and saved me a lot of time and hassle. Good for Moen to make something like this to bail out people like me! (The plumber who didn’t measure it right is another story though!)
