Perfect for the Midwest

I’m from California and I bought this to combat the Midwest weather in Chicago. This jacket kept me warm and dry I highly recommend this. I like that there’s a detachable inner jacket. However I did’nt like the inner heat reflective garment in the sleeve area. Feels like it had too much where it sticks out of the jacket. See picture. Other than that the jacket worked great

Good Price

Finding a jacket at any outdoor clothing store this winter was impossible. Jackets similar to this by Columbia we’re going for 2-3 times the price from the actual Columbia store. Quality is great and the jacket came as expected. The zip-in seems to be of good quality and durable.

Disappointed

I'll start by saying that I still have my Whirlibird from the late 80s and if it still fit i wouldn't be looking for any other winter jacket, but boy how the mighty have fallen. I've been thru many jackets/coats since I outgrew that one and was expecting a lot more out of this product. First problem was the fit. The medium was too small and the large was too big. I'm 5'10" 190lbs, athletic build, i don't think i have a problem with fit, but I do not blame Columbia for that. What i do blame them for is the way this product comes together. The biggest problem was the lack of an elastic wrist cuff on the internal jacket. The lack of cuff allows the disco ball lining to come thru the bottom with your hands when you put it on. Totally unacceptable. As stated in other reviews, I'm not a fan of the zipper. Although i am returning the product, it's small, not rugged and nowhere near the quality of my original Whirlibird. Although i may but Columbia in the future, I was extremely disappointed with this product.

You’ll only be getting half.

I only received the inside fleece not the outer one. Amazon did make it right but it was still inconvenient.

Size is US like

I bought L. M would have been fine. But it was surprisingly priced 70% more than L. Anyway, the size was mismatch because it is a USA size. It is warm and comes with inner jacket. It can be used for layering. The zipper is a challenge. It is common problem with Columbia jackets. It has to be forced to align with the seam to work properly. Do I recommend? Yes, if it is priced sensibly and other options are expensive.

Incredible jacket

This is my second Lhotse jacket, the first lasted nine winters but the zipper finally broke. I live in Edmonton Alberta and this jacket is my go to until the temperature drops below 15 or 20 Celsius depending on whether the sun is out or not. Definitely a quality jacket.
