The best shoe made today!

These are great shoes and they are hard to find with a good size availability. I bought my first pair during covid for $33 on Amazon. Now if you can find them they are $120 plus.

Shoes Run Small

Seem like very sturdy shoes. Seem pretty comfortable but haven’t worn them out yet to see if they are waterproof. Shoes run small. I wear a 9.5 in all shoes and got the 9.5 in these and could use atleast a 10.5. I’m also wearing really thin socks in these and their still tight. Just a warning for people looking into these. Go a full size up from what you normally wear.

Decent shoe but tight toe box and loose heel

When it comes to shoes the most important thing to consider is fit and comfort as far as I am concerned. This is my first purchase of Columbia sportswear of any kind and to be honest I have purchased the shoes for winter hoping the tread will be good on snow and the material warm enough to get me in and out of my car to the mall, or to work or little short walks as well as shoveling snow. In terms of the shoe... FIT: The show is snug. I found it to be too snug for me and sized up 1/2 size. It was not painful but it felt very restricted in the toebox. I could have stayed true to size but just felt like it would be more comfortable to have a little more room in the toe box. HEEL SLIPPAGE: Biggest complaint I have about this shoe is heel slippage whether you go true to size or size up. You really have to tie these shoes super tight to stop heel slippage from happening. The padding in the tongue and the collar is ok but not enough to stop heel slippage. I even tied the laces through the last eyelet to lockdown my heel but it made no difference. In the end, it was the use of slightly thicker socks which helped locked down the heel and given that this will be a winter shoe, it will be fine. However, if you wear this shoe in the spring or fall, be aware of this. WARMTH: I found this to be the warmest shoe I have ever worn. Again, this will be helpful in the winter but I can't see myself wearing these in the spring or summer. If you do, be prepared for your feet to sweat. The waterproof membrane, is probably the culprit for this but as I said in the winter, it will probably be welcome I hope and expect. OUTSOLE: Both the outsole and midsole are terrific. This is a really comfortable shoe. I have been exclusively wearing Nike and Under Armour but this shoe is arguably the most comfortable shoe I have. This may not be a big widely distributed name that I have heard of, but they have built a really good shoe that is comfortable. The outsole looks terrific and should be very useful on snowy days. I usually wear straight running shoes in the winter because I dont hike or walk all that much other than popping in and out of my house to the car etc. so I feel comfortable knowing that a grippy outsole will be there to help me keep from slipping. STYLE: Its a nice looking shoe. You can wear this going out in the winter without needing to compromise on grip and safety. At the same time, this is a shoe not a boot. Its got suede and a vinyl upper but its super cushioned on the inside so it will be warm. OVERALL: I give it a 4. THe main reason its not a 5 is the heel slippage. It is something you will have to contend with. I have managed to tie it in a way that there is little to no heel slippage but I have to make extra effort to tie the shoe just right for that to happen, and its a pain in the rear to always have to make sure you tie your shoe exactly right to avoid a blister. I think if the laces were those flat elastic laces it would work better than the round laces and I may switch them up for that reason, but for now I find myself having to really pull on the laces to lock in my heel.

Stylish & practical walking shoe

Shoe looks very stylish out of the box and on. Fits well but if you have a widefitting foot may be a tad tight with minimal wiggle room. Otherwise the tred is solid and has a bit of grip so suitable for most walking weather conditions and terrains. Is waterproof and overall a nice allround walking/ winter shoe.
