Cute for a 40$ lamp

The base of this lamp is a dark brown with lines of lighter brown and off-white swirled around the base, it is done in a matte finish and is quite nice. My one complaint about the base is that the pattern of swirling lines is not blended in well at the top back of the lamp, but this is the back of the lamp, so I suppose it's minor. The shade is a light beige color and has a linen-like pattern. I think it is made of either paper or a thin layer of fabric over paper. The shade is the type that fits around the neck of the lamp, below the bulb, so, it was a bit of a challenge to get the shade straight. So, having given all the cons, let me say that it's very hard to find an inexpensive lamp these days. I paid 40$ each for these lamps, and I think it was worth it. These are much nicer than anything I saw at Target or the like. The size is very nice for a smaller table (or a narrow one) and they are attractive and fairly neutral. The dimensions are missing in the description: Height: 27.5" Width: 5" Shade: 13.5" H x 9" W

Nice lamp. No complaints

The lamp looks as advertised. Base is thick. color looks like photos. Shade is nice. No set up required. Take it out of the box. Put a bulb in and Pop the shade on with no screws. Height from top of shade to bottom of base is around 27 inches not 23 inches as advertised. Not a problem for me. I'm satisfied

Great lamp; colors slightly different from the photo

I use this as a bedside lamp, and I really like it. I have a small room, and it's not too overpowering. Just as an FYI, the colors are slightly different from the picture. To me, in the picture, the base looks almost black, and the shade looks white-ish. In reality, the shade is more beige/tan, and with the bulb that comes in the package, when it's on, the shade glows very yellow, not white. And the base is a very dark brown-ish (which you could probably guess since it's called "dark bronze" -- it's what you think you would get, but like I said, the photo makes it look almost black).

Good for the price

I gave this four stars only because the way the shade attaches to the lamp is delicate and the shades are crooked occasionally. Otherwise it is a really nice lamp for the price, comes with a bulb, and matches my decor perfectly.

Looks nice

These are nice looking -- kind of a modern, elegant look. They work well. Not high-end material, but for the price I like them.

Good description disappointing reality

Base looks cheap with visible vertical line and shade was dented in 2 places.i should have returned it but I couldn't handle the logistics as it had been shipped in a very large box with another lamp

Good lamp, bad packaging

Lamp is as pictured and described. The box needs more padding for the shade, though--I ordered 2 lamps, and one shade arrived dented, the other with a spoke broken.

These lamps are exactly what I wanted!

The lamps are perfect for my living room. They were actually a better quality than I was expecting for the money. They came packaged very well so everything was in perfect shape.
