Why the body suit

I have long torso relative to my legs. The fit is great on the upper body part but the body suit keep on unclasping because it’s too short. Quite embarrassing in the middle of a wedding ceremony.

This dress does not need the body suit bottom with elastic leg openings that's sewn into it!

Because the dress is completely shirred, I put my hands through it from the bottom so I can get it over my head easily. What I encountered was some extra fabric that stopped my hands for going further. I turned the garment inside out and found that sewn in from the waist is a "bodysuit bottom" with crotch snap! Why, oh why, is this thing needed? The dress has double fabric. Adding this bodysuit bottom which makes my thighs pop out as if I were wearing a bathing suit bottom underneath the dress is counterintuitive for an otherwise forgiving fabric and shirring. Without this extraneous snap open body suit bottom, the dress would have given me an uninterrupted, chic sleek column of a figure. Back it goes.

This dress came with the tag ripped off and the whole dress was crooked

I do not think this was an authentic dress shipped to me. Seen crookedly, poor fit. Tag ripped off.
