Briggs & Stratton fuel glass bowl

Good product and installation was easy

Installation went very smoothly - removed the hose and hose adapter, replaced the valve/bowl assembly, installed the hose adapter and hose. I did have to loosen the bowl to release the air that kept the fuel from flowing - maybe I should have filled the bowl before reattaching the hose. Regardless of that minor item, it went well and works great. Good replacement.

Great replacement or upgrade!

I bought this to replace the fuel shut-off valve (no sediment bowl or filter) on the tank of my late-70s generator with a Briggs engine. The glass bowl is a nice addition so any sediment can be caught, seen and emptied before it would make it into the fuel line. My generator already had a filter downstream but the additional screen in this unit is a nice touch and easier to access. I had to buy a brass adapter with a barbed hose fitting from my local hardware store to connect it to the generator fuel line but, otherwise, it was a direct fit. It is made quite well - heavy glass, good quality metal construction.

Heavily constructed

Very similar to the ones they used to put on automobile carburetors many years ago. Construction seems to be very good. The little shut off seems to work well. It has a screen to stop larger particles from passing.
