Make your own galaxy

I got this so my kid, who loves to make up their own stories and games, could create models of different worlds they dream of. They have loved being able to have a model that moves to really help bring their stories to life. The price is also great, because I wouldn't mind purchasing multiples when it helps my kid be creative and the pieces are overly cheap plastic.

Project for family time

Didn't matter g grandson is only 5, he enjoyed a project with mom. Parent/child time is I important e enough if it isn't perfect, it lights up in dark and that's good enough for him.

Small but ok

Nothing to be super enthusiastic about. Proportion could have been made more realistic (may be except for the sun). The handles are too short for some of the planets so they bump into each other a little.

Very small

This item was very small for little hands. I gave this to my 11 year old niece for Christmas and it was difficult for her to paint because some of the planets were very small.

Paint is on the thin side. Will need multiple coats.

The product itself is great and even comes with a little coloring page. The colors provided are enough to mix various colors, but the paints themselves are on the thin side and do no provide deep coverage. I ended up using some of my own acrylic paint to give it a more realistic look. The paints provided will cover everything. Just gives it more of a playful look. It did come with glow in the dark paint that was used afterwards. Definitely recommend this for little kids.

Okay product

The planet halves don’t fit together properly … the sandpaper is not the proper grit and is very ineffective for the large extra piece of plastic you’re supposed to sand. Some of the planets are the exact same size so if you’re trying to get specific with arrangement it’s a bit funky. Overall okay.

would've loved to have a smidge more paint

One of the planets had a stem on the inside that was too long to allow it to be snapped together by our child - we sawed it off and made it work... also, would've loved to have a smidge more paint, but other than that it was really good.

Not worth the money

For this price the quality of the planets is not up to the mark (some of the planets don't fit properly). The size of the planets is also very small, the continents of earth are not clearly visible. It would have been good if the final structure of the toy (after assembly) was stable. At present the planets keep falling off even with slightest tilt.
