These corrode in mild moisture.
Used as a replacement in a bathroom sink faucet assembly, these are exposed to drips near the faucet. They corroded after a few months. They don't indicate the alloy mix, but clearly the zinc content is above 15%, so guess what? They LOOK just like brass, and corrode just like zinc, staining the porcelain. Just a rip off, selling at (inflated) brass prices, and sending a deceptively labelled product.
