Great dive watch!

I have 10 dives this using air mode & mixed gas (nitrox). I compare its dive log with my uwatec Aladdin pro nitrox. There is very little difference so I'm starting to trust its accuracy. One gripe I have with this, the alarm seems to be a little soft. I would like it to be louder like my uwatec which catches even my dive buddy's attention when it sounds an alarm. I'm taking away one star because as compared to the titanium suunto stinger this is heavy on the wrist. Maybe because of additional features like the compass & CCR. I don't know if the casing really a titanium. The description states black titanium but its heavy that I have some doubt it really is. Maybe a coated stainless steel??. It is more conservative than other dive comp, if you have a violation it will lock out. You won't be able to use it for 48 hrs. Of course diver safety is its primary concern for having that feature. What it's trying to say is that you better be responsible enough for your own safety. I also have the wireless transmitter. Pairing is a breeze...

The most appalling customer service

I often change country of residence for work. I have bought a Stinger, a D9, and a Dx in my life, and used to love Suunto. I am a dive instructor and always recommended Suunto. I have recently bought a titanium strap for my Dx, but I have accidentally lost a pin. I have contacted customer service to know if the pin could be shipped to Zimbabwe, since I cannot find a service centre unless I fly somewhere. The answer is no. Reason, some nonsensical points about danger of perforation for the Dx's case. I am supposed to ship the Dx from Zimbabwe to Finland, go through customs and take the risk of it getting broken though shipping because of a funny company policy and no flexibility to provide real customer service. Just because they do not want to send out a small pin in an envelope! I am sorry, but Suunto no longer exist for me and I will be a fierce advocate against this company. They ask for 2,000USD for this watch, and refuse to help you at the cost of a post stamp.
