I like my boots

I like my boots, but didn't know they had a steel toe. Although there are times a steel toe comes in handy I shy away from buying them because the huge toe area tends to look kind of goofy. I want a tactical boot similar to what our troops wear. Do they have steel toed boots? If so I guess I was never aware of it. And none of my fellow deputies wear steel toed boots. I'm just not in any kind of business where I'd need one. They will make good work boots on the farm in Arkansas.

Better than expected!

Fit is actually better than expected but there wasn't a block for that! They are extremely comfortable to work in all day and that is saying something for me. I am on my feet all day, walking, climbing up and down, and I need the extra support these boots provide.

Disappointed

After wearing out a pair of Timberland Pro Valor 6" boots, which were excellent, I though I would try the Reebok Rapid Response which looked very similar but to my surprise they aren't. The Reeboks in 6" needs some major re-designing as far as the tongue and zipper strap goes. The tongue is way oversized which causes it to stick out and your jeans will ride on top of the tongue while walking. The velcro zipper strap is a pain in the *ss because it is always sticking back on the base when you are trying to put the boots on. Get rid of the bogus oversized tongue and the velcro zipper strap and you will have a nice product.

Not your typical work boot

My husband is a union electrician who is mostly on concrete all day. He loves Reebok work boots. They don't make his giant feet look like he's wearing "Frankenstein" shoes, they're incredibly comfortable and lightweight, and I think they look good!

Reebok ruined a great Converse workboot with their inserts and shock absorbing pad.

This review is strictly directed to the fit of the Reebok Men's Rapid Response. I purchased this boot sight unseen (my bad) due to the fact that I own a pair of these boots that were previously made by Converse...... and I LOVE THOSE BOOTS!!! However, after Reebok purchased that division of Converse, they changed the design of the insert as well as the material of the shock absorbing system underneath the insert. After receiving the boot, I promptly put them on and started trying them out. The knot underneath my heal was uncomfortable the second I stood up. Much like standing on a not so squishy ball. I took the boot off removed the insert and compared the old insert to the new insert. The shock absorber built into the heel sticks up a good 1/8 of an inch above the rest of the shoe and on top of that is a Reebok insert that also has a raised pad on the heal. I thought for sure that Reebok knew what they were doing so I put them on the next day and went to work expecting my feet to become accustomed to the raised padding. That was a sad mistake. My heels hurt for the following 4 days. I have since removed the inserts and purchased Dr Scholls inserts to try and undo what Reebok has screwed up but it has only helped a little due to the raised shock absorber. I've owed Reeboks before and have never had any complaints from their products...... but they really blew it with this one. It feels as though you are walking on one of those palm sized hard red rubber bouncy balls.

Comfortable Boot
