The pliers are great to have but the holster needs improvement.
The pliers were great to have on my last fishing trip, but the holster was a pain in the butt. The holster kept spinning around and the pliers would fall out (good thing it had the clip-on tether). Otherwise, the pliers are great, would have left 5 stars if it weren't for the holster.

Nice pliers
These are for my salmon box and have already proven themselves. I haven't used the ring splitter but it holds hooks and the cutters are very sharp.

Seems very strong and functional
I have these tethered to my kayak. I've only used them to cut braid and mono so far and they worked great. I've never had an issue with Gamakatsu products and I don't anticipate these failing me. They feel rugged in your hands and maneuverable for setting up rigs and removing hooks. I like how they are spring loaded so they are ready to get to work immediately.

They're OK but could be better
They cut fishing line easily, fit the sheath perfectly, and the big handles make them easy to hold. Regarding improvements, I don't like where they put the line cutters - it would be better if they were where the cutters typically are. Also they do not hold fishing line well when cinching knots.

Deceptive advertising
There is one thing that I really can’t stand it’s being deceived or lied to. On your product description it says country of origin JAPAN Package when received says this product is made in China!! I am being trained to be lied to with the mainstream news and my political leaders I do not do not accept this premise

Quality pliers worth the price
A nice set of pliers you can depend on. You can spend a lot more, but these pliers are every bit as good as the $200 pair. They have everything I need, and are extremely well made. I would HIGHLY recommend them.
