Pros and Cons

Pros--Very sturdy lamp with solid base. The whole thing weighs 5 pounds so it's not going to tip over easily. The lamp shade is attractive and not cheap-looking. I was impressed with how the lamp was packed. The blue lamp base sat in a large styrofoam container to prevent breakage. It was well protected!!! The top of the box was its weak point. My box was a bit smashed on top and so my lamp shade had a slit (a cut) where it had been smashed. I liked this lamp a lot and would have given it 5 stars except . . . Cons--It's not a three-way switch. It's a 100 watt lamp. Period. I was so disappointed because in every other way I really liked the weight and look of this lamp. The description of the lamp on the website gave conflicting information, so buyer beware. But if you are looking for a stylish 100 watt navy blue lamp, you'll likely be pleased. But just know that a three-way bulb doesn't work in it. It clicks on and it clicks off.

The two lamps I received are NOT 3-way switch.

I searched specifically for table lamps with 3-way switch. The product description describes the lamps are 3-way switch. I ordered two lamps, bought brand new 3-way light bulbs, placed the lamps with new bulbs, turned the light switches on and discovered the lamps are definitely NOT 3-way switch! Also, for one of the lamps, the metal stem containing the electric cord and socket assembly was affixed slightly crooked by the manufacturer. The lamp shade also rests on the socket assembly which makes the lampshade sit crooked.

I got this through Amazon warehouse as there was minimal damage to the shade. This is a really nice lamp of good quality and elegant appearance that I wound up paying something like 45$ less than it normally costs.
