Great product

Got these (2) for our RV, we don’t use much heat. They are warm without being smothering. They felt bulky but after being used for a few days, they softened right up. I have been looking for blankets like these for years! Would give 6 stars if I could.

Warm Blooded New Englander

I recently asked for this blanket as a birthday present, I was looking for a good quality, warm blanket for when I was at my boyfriend's house. I'm lucky enough to be in the midst of early menopause due to a previous surgery. I really was looking for a blanket that could keep me comfortable in the colder winter months, but also something that wasn't a thousand pounds either. I tend go from frozen to surface of the sun-hot in 6.2 seconds, so this can be a very tricky thing to cater to. It seemed that unless I wanted a Sherpa or fleece blanket, I was out of luck. That was when I found/asked for this little gem. I ended up getting it for my b-day and let me tell you, I fell in love instantly! It is a warm blanket! No doubt, but it is so light and cozy that it honestly gives you the feeling of being in a cloud. It breathes enough that I cook perfectly overnight, but I don't dry out. Lol =) One downside...it only comes in white, which you could get around by dyeing I suppose. I don't really care about that, but I understand that some might. Either way, I liked it so much for my boyfriends house that I immediately came home and bought this one in queen for myself, and a twin size for my child. Hope this helps!

A Performance Opinion...

I demand to sleep WARM. Probably warmer than most folks. I am no spring chicken (age 70). I also am very temperamental about how much weight is on me. I do not do well under a slab of multiple blankets, quilts and comforters. What follows is opinion. Keep this in mind. Did this Level 3 comforter alone, keep me "warm enough" in a 46 degree F bedroom? No. I spread a microfiber blanket over-top the comforter last night, and that did the trick. Even though I had to add the weight of the blanket to the feather-weight comforter, the total weight was still far less than what it took before with more blankets and a heavy, cheap polyester comforter. OK so I spent a good portion of my Social Security check on a level 3 comforter... Would I do it again, knowing what I know now? In a heartbeat. The comforter is well made, the piping is straight, there are an absolute minimum of loose thread ends, and some wise designer did not opt to use 600 thread count fabric covering which would have made the comforter slick as ice and unable to stay atop the bed.

Winter warm blanket

We use this in a non heated bedroom in Northern Wisconsin, yeah Wisconsin if it's not below zero we're peeling layers off the top. Best buy we've ever made. Better than wool and none of the disadvantages.

Not that warm

So I needed a really warm comforter but without being extra expensive or having real feathers in it… at night my house is at 72 degrees and Im only 100lb so I tend to get very cold, this comforter turned out not to be enough to keep me warm… it looks really nice, and its good quality, but if you are always cold…best to choose another one.

Super super warm.

Very warm! Very comfortable and this comforter can get you through the most intense of winters. No need for extra bulk from other blankets as well! In reguards to the no proof of thinsulate people are claiming. The package it comes with list it on the tag of the comforter sleeve. I’m also a big snowboarder so I have lots of jackets with synthetic down and it is on par with those. So I’d be very very surprised if this isn’t thinsulate it is super warm and honestly has no fluff to the comforter which is what thinsulate is all about would recommend 100%.

I have been looking for a replacement to my down comforter. Allergies, dust mites, blah, blah, blah. I don't want down in my house anymore. So, I looked at replacements. Poly fill really has little to know redeeming value for retaining heat. Wool is either very expensive if it is processed without chemicals or it has a horrendous chemical smell. That leaves me with Thinsulate. Cabela's had the exact same Thinsulate weighting for a comforter cover and it was very expensive. This is very warm and the quality of the cover is very nice. A bargain for the price I paid.

L2 is too warm for me

I bought this thinking L2 would be medium .. not too hot and not too cool. I do have a warmer body temperature than many and am a bit heat sensitive but it's the hottest duvet I have ever had. Once I'm under it I immediately feel really hot (in Quebec in the winter!), like there is no breathability whatsoever in the material. Even the usual tricks of sticking a limb outside the duvet make little difference and I doubt lowering the exterior temperature would help much either. I wish I'd saved $100 and just bought one elsewhere tbh esp since I'll probably need to buy another now. For people with cooler body temperatures perhaps it's perfect
