great but the catcher broke almost immediately

Okay for a small job, but too cheap for anything extensive

I have a $20 set of pliers like these I bought from Joann's for 3/8 inch grommets. I couldn't find the size for this version anywhere, so I thought I'd try it for a $6 add on item and hope they were larger. Well, it turns out these are very tiny (see picture). The grommets are only one piece, so the reverse side looks pretty bad and isn't as sturdy as the two-piece sets. The handles are pretty short and I could only do a few at a time before my hands just couldn't squeeze enough anymore and I had to start using the floor and my body weight for leverage. My husband offered to help and ended up breaking it. So now half of the time I try to use it, the grommet gets stuck in the pliers. I would definitely recommend spending the extra money on a nicer kit if you are planning on using it a lot.

Don't waste your money!

No matter how hard you squeezed the handles the grommets would not fully seal and left a ridged edge you could cut yourself on..

Simply. Doesn't. Work.

No other way to put it, this thing doesn't work. I've tried it with every single kind of grommet. 12 different times. The anvil came badly dented so it will never actually spread the backing ring of a grommet.

This does not install eyelets at all!!

Good for.... nothing?

Pretty lame quality. Purchased at Home Depot, bent the handle on the first eyelet, exchanged at Home Depot, then got through about 10 eyelets before the handle had bent far enough to break. Might work pretty well for putting eyelets through paper, but not rubber or leather. I definitely do not recommend this item.

Bad design

Piece of junk. Great idea but it just doesn’t work. I made it work by installing a #10 washer on the other end then hammered it in.
