Better than my old one

I bought this after seeing another curly haired person use it on Instagram. Since it was a decent price I figured I'd give it a shot. It does a lot better than my old dryer at keeping my curls from frizzing or falling apart during drying, but drying now takes for-ev-er. I have two small kids and don't have the time to spend 40 minutes drying my hair after washing and styling it. I feel like the reason it doesn't cause frizz is related to how long it takes to dry my hair... but I wish there was a unicorn dryer that could accomplish faster drying with no frizz. For now this budget-friendly dryer is my best option though. I will say - when I use it without the diffuser just to dry my hair fast without caring what it looks like - it's GREAT. Very fast drying, high power, all of it. It's just when using the diffuser that it struggles in my opinion.

Great dryer for long, curly hair...

I have long (almost to my tailbone) curly 3C hair. I start drying on Medium heat, Low airflow for 5 minutes then switch to Low heat and leave it on the Low airflow setting throughout. I always use the diffuser. The size of the diffuser and the depth of the bowl are perfect for root lift on long hair, body, and beautiful spiral curls with little to no frizz. A flat bowl diffuser is not good for root lift and crushes my hair removing body. On the low setting, it takes about 35 minutes to dry my hair and set the curls. I've had this dryer for about 2 years now and can say it continues to work very well and gives me beautiful, frizz-free, curly hair for days. I use Shea Moisture Leave-In (there are many to choose from, depending on your hair needs), curl cream, and a small amount of strong hold gel. I hope they continue to make this dryer so when this one wears out, I can buy another one. This is an excellent dryer at a great price and the results are better than what I get from the Dyson used at my salon (the Dyson has a flat bowl diffuser).

Lots of Curls but a Few Notes for Awareness

A most interesting diffuser and I have used them on my hair for years. First, I do get lots of great curls so it delivers on what it says it does. But a few things to know prior to purchase. First of all, it's heavy. Much heavier than any other hair dryer I've ever had. I personally don't mind, and I'm in my 60's, but an important factor to note. It also takes me a wee bit longer to dry my hair than most conventional dryers. If you are trying to save every minute in the morning to get out to work and avoid traffic, this could be a factor.

Exactly what I wanted

It’s great for long hair. The diffuser is deep so you can get curly waves and tons of volume. It’s big. Not ideal for traveling if you’re pressed for space but I’d make room for it. It’s nice and lightweight too. It’s got a loop on it so you can hang it on a hook to store it. The cord is a good length as well.

Works well on my curly hair

I don't use heat on my hair very often because I don't want to damage it too much, but every so often I need my hair to dry a little faster than over 6 hours. We don't have a diffuser attachment for our old dryer, so I went ahead and bought this. It's much quieter than our other dryer, and I like that there's both a setting for temperature and for how much air is coming out of it, which is something our other dryer also does not have. I wish the cord length was just a little bit longer, but it's not a huge deal. I can't speak to the other accessory piece, but so far the diffuser component has worked just fine; it's taking some getting used to because I haven't used one myself in quite some time, but my hair has been dry within ten to fifteen minutes of using the dryer, which is great for me.

My Opinion

It seems to work as stated. Ive only used it a few times. I will say that it keeps your hair from blowing all over the place while drying it. I have short hair so I really can't tell if it's giving it volume.

Nice option for curly hair with one but...

I like the overall dryer performance, it's not too weak, not too strong. The diffusor is great, has no holes in it, it warms up like a giant basket and keeps the heat inside its frame doing a great job with my permed hair. It's bouncy and defined, and not frizzy. However, the giant diffuser tip tends to fall off every now snd then as its base is a little to frail in relation to the whole diffuser's design. But it happens very sporadically. However, I would redesign in if I were a manufacturer. Buy warrant with it! Those are peanuts but I believe if this broke, you can ask for another free? I recommend the product!

Long high quality cord. Good product. Good design

The media could not be loaded. I am a 27 year salon owner. I use many kinds of dryers. Some 300$ while others are $39. Universal diffusers don’t fit well on my concave nozzle dryer so I purchase this to have a secure diffuser. It’s excellent. The air definitely is kept in the cupped area and I saw a definite change in the reduction of frizz in my curly clients hair. I’m surprised at the overall feel being less expensive- feels like it should have cost more. Also one difference between professional dryers and residential/home use dryers is the length of the cord- home use cords are too short to reach around my hydronic chair. This dryer has a soft sturdy longer cord which could come in handy even for home use. The attachments are removable easily with a concentrator as well. The back filter is removable for cleaning and is also double screened which was yet another thoughtful feature. This is a win for me here in Pennsylvania.

Seca horrible el difusor, desilusión.

La potencia es muy buena si usas el secador por sí solo, pero lo que me gustaba y animó a pedirlo era el difusor para cabello rizado y definitivamente su aire circula horrible por ese artefacto, se escapa todo por todos lados y por lo tanto seca muy lento el cabello, me desilusionó mucho, ya que leía era muy buena su distribución del aire, en general la secadora está padrísima, un poco pesada, se ve durable y sin accesorios funciona perfectamente, así la uso mejor -_-

No la compres si la quieres para cabello ondulado.

La quería por el difusor para cabello ondulado y fue lo que menos me gustó., prácticamente no logro secarlo, se escapa mucho el aire por tantos orificios que tiene, tuve que taparlos pero eso ocasiona frizz. La secadora funciona bien.

Great Heat Settings & Wonderful Diffuser!

I have fine, curly hair and I use this when I don't want to air dry. First diffuser I have ever had and I love it- it doesn't blow your hair around everywhere. I mainly use the low & cool setting to dry and then press the cold button (you need to hold it down continuously) to finish off my style.

The diffuser directs most of the hot air towards the wrong direction.

The dryer was good quality and not loud. But if you have thick hair as I do and you want to use the diffuser, this is not the dryer for you. The diffuser loses most of the hot air from below and prolongs the drying time which is not good if you want to fix a hair style. I returned it the next day.
