POORLY ASSEMBLED

WHEN I OPENED THE BOX AND SAW WHAT I HAD RECEIVED I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED . THE BACK OF THE THERMOMETER WAS BENT OUT OF SHAPE . THE NEEDEL WAS STUCK ON 50 DEGREES . IT HAD BEEN DELIVERED AND LEFT ON MY FRONT PORCH FOR 2 HOURS BEFORE I GOT HOME IN 30 DEGREE WEATHER SO I SAW THAT AS A PROBLEM . IT LOOKS LIKE THEY TRIED TO SEAL THE BACK COVER THAT WAS BENT OUT OF SHAPE WITH CLEAR SILICONE SEALENT BUT IT WAS ONLY HALF DONE SO IT REALLY WAS NOT SEALING ANYTHING NOR WAS IT KEEPING THE COVER IN PLACE . FOR THE LAST 8 HOURS AT THE TIME OF WRITTING THIS IT HAS BEEN IN A ROOM WHERE THE THERMOSTAT IS SET AT 83 DEGREES AND THIS THERMOMETER IT READING 73 DEGREES SO IT'S 10 DEGREES OFF I WOULD SAY . THIS IS AFTER I STRAIGHTENED OUT THE BACK COVER AND GOT THE NEEDLE UNSTUCK . THIS THERMOMETER IS NOT WORTH THE PRICE I WAS CHARGED FOR IT PLUS IT'S ACCURCY IS VERY POOR ALTHOUGH THAT COULD BE DUE TO THE CONDITION IT WAS IN WHEN I RECEIVED IT . PLANNING TO RETURN IT TOMORROM . WILL NOT PURCHASE AGAIN .

Nice big numbers

I like how big it is and how easy the large numbers are to read. We installed it outside on a tree facing the kitchen window so we could read the temperature at a glance. The only real problem is that we have no real way of knowing how accurate it is or if it's accurate at all. Alexa says it's one temperature, and weather stations in the area say it's another. My husband theorizes that nailing it against a damp, live tree out in the open might have an effect on the reading. Don't know. So we're calling it "approximate."

LARGE IN-YOUR-FACE - LIGHTWEIGHT - NO BATTERIES NEEDED (DESPITE WHAT PACKAGING SAYS!)

Packaging says battery needed. It is not -- not even a battery compartment. BUT read directions on packaging about bending the bottom clip for the 2nd nail, as before I saw that I was thinking it was going to be terribly detailed to install. Easy peasy.
