Wrong Design Showed Up

I love Wet Brush. I won't use anything else, myself, so when it was time to buy my one-year-old twins a real brush, this seemed the obvious choice, since one girl has curly hair and the other straight. I chose the llama design, which I received with no problem. My Gramma was right, though and the girls immediately began to fight over it. I ordered another, in the same print, because while I don't think they can tell at one, I also didn't think they'd fight over it in the first place. Instead of llamas, I got mermaids and unicorns. That was okay, because I preferred this design for baby girls, but I still needed both brushes to be the same. I sent back the llamas and ordered a mermaid brush from Wal-mart, only to receive llamas instead. I couldn't find the mermaids anywhere and decided to just order another llama brush from Amazon and see what came. Well, it was another mermaid brush! Moral of the story: great brush, but if you order llamas, you're probably getting mermaids.

Gentle brush for detangling my long hair

First, I did not receive the design I ordered. The brush itself is the same, so I’m living with the alternate design. Minus 1 star for not getting what I ordered. Second, this is a great brush. My stylist recommended it, so I decided to try it. It’s as good as she said it would be for detangling. I previously used a vent brush to detangle after a shower. It was a painful, hair-losing, experience, such that I deliberately washed my hair less often just to not have to deal with detangling my long hair. The bristles on this brush (with epoxy ball-tips) are very flexible, almost soft. Plus, they are set into a padded, flexible base. So there’s a lot of “give” built into the brush as it tries to deal with tangles. An added plus, because this brush is much gentler in the way it accomplishes detangling, it doesn’t pull out anywhere near the amount of hair that my vent brush did. It’s been a lot better (not as painful, not as time-consuming, not as hair-losing) detangling experience for me. Another plus, this brush feels good to brush over the palm of your hand, or up and down your arm. A very gentle, pleasing feeling. A possible negative — the padded base of the brush tends to fill up with water if you use it in the shower or on wet hair. I didn’t realize this at first. I used the brush on my dry hair, and my hair got all wet from the water (from the previous night’s shower) seeping out of the base. So now I squeeze the base to try to get all the water out. I don’t know if the water will eventually lead to mold under that padding. Another negative -- I'm not a fan of the flat, smooth handle. It tends to be slippery and hard to hold when the brush is wet, and even when the brush isn't wet. I'd prefer a round, grippy handle.

Easy detangling; I like the rubberized handle

I first purchased the original version of this brush. Then, when I noticed the pro version had a rubberized handle, I purchased that one, too. My hands tends to cramp, and I had a hard time holding onto the slippery and flat handle of the original brush. The only difference between the two brushes, that I can see, is that the pro version has a thicker/sturdier base and rubberized handle which I find easier to hold. If you have hand grip issues, the pro version is probably a better choice for you. If you don’t have such issues, then either version would be fine for you. Both brushes are great for detangling. The bristles (with epoxy ball-tips) are very flexible, almost soft. Plus, they are set into a padded, flexible base. So there’s a lot of “give” built into the brush as it tries to deal with tangles. Great Brush! Fun color

Recommended by my hair stylist. I had complained about my hair being tangled after a shower. I have medium length hair and was just using a regular comb. She mentioned this one. She could have sold me on brushes in store but, didn't. Have been a fan ever since. Easy to detangle. I am such a fan that I purchased a smaller one for travel. Gave 3 stars for drying since I am not sure what they mean. I don't really use this brush to blow dry my hair. Just detangling and taming

Works really well

I got this for my son who’s growing his hair out to donate (wigs for kids). He’s very tender headed cause well he’s a boy and not used to having his hair brushed. So I got him this one to brush his own hair and it just glides right through the tangles. No more pain for his tender little head.

Wrong design and poor quality print.

The brush received was different to the brush ordered, the design was meant to be "Safari Leopard" which has a yellowish textured design with spots (like a leopard), but the one received was grey with black spots. The printing on the brush also looked quite low quality and was misaligned. Not really a major issue and not worth returning. Some of the other reviews on here also show this. I bought this brush to replace my previous wet brush which lasted 4 years and only got replaced because the bristles were breaking, the print was fine. The pad with the bristles going in did feel a bit different to my old brush, but assumed it was just a change in design. This one snags quite a bit more than my previous one. I've had the brush a couple of months now and the print is coming off very quickly (the brush looks a couple of years old now). The brush was purchased directly from Amazon and not a reseller, however I almost suspect the brush is a fake. If it isn't a fake then Wet Brushes quality has gone down a lot and I would suggest just purchasing a cheaper generic clone.

Good brush, but did not receive the one in the picture

Pretty upset that I got a different brush from the picture. I really liked the Leopard print one that said safari as in the picture but instead received what looks like an older version in grey. I have since given the brush a try as I can't be bothered with the hassle of sending it back. I bought my daughter one of these from a hair dressers recently and liked it so much thought I'd get one for myself. Chose this one particularly as it had super spindley bristles and the ends slightly coated. The one I've received has much larger grey tipped balls on the end of the bristles sounds fussy but I particularly didn't want this as when I've had brushes previously those bits always snap off quickly in my very thick hair. A very good brush overall , haven't tried it on wet hair yet but it certainly got the tangles out that the day has given me. Not convinced this hasn't been kicking around a store room for ages as it arrived very scratched up. Otherwise quick delivery arrived when it said it would. Overall just disappointed I didn't get exactly what I'd ordered.????

Fantastic! Great for blonde hair :)

My hairdresser recommended this brush to me as I was having a hard time detangling my wet hair (I've recently gone blonde and it's so much harder to detangle!). I was thinking of getting a tangle teezer but my hairdresser suggested this would be better. I'm actually so impressed I've started using it as my normal hairbrush! It literally glides through my wet hair and it gives a nice shine and as a result my hair feels less dry and knotty. Highly recommend!

Did not receive the brush advertised

As a family, we always use this brand of brush as they're fantastic. We needed a new one so we purchased the leopard print one as we all liked it. How ever we received a zebra print version. Disappointed as this is not the one advertised or listed.

Soft and fabulous

Ive had trouble woth brushing my daughters hair. Its very long (to her knees) an she cries, screams an runs away if needing to brush. Have tried several types, brushes, combs, paddle brushes an although 1 other seemed to be doing well for a while THIS brush has been amazing. Its soft, doesnt pull like the others and gets the job done.
