Package says 50 amp, instructions say 40amp

I'm a little puzzled if this cord is indeed rated for 50 amps. The packaging on the front says 50 amp, but the little installation instructions inside the package sandwiched into the strain relief bracket say 40 amp. I originally bought a 6' 50 amp cord from Lowes which is 6/2 & 8/2 gauge wire. Six feet is pretty long and my slide in range seems to keep getting caught on the wire no matter how I tie wrap it up to take up excess length. The FSP wire I bought from Amazon (after opening the box) says 8/2 & 10/2 gauge wire which would make sense for a 40 amp wire. I'm wondering if this wire is mispackaged or if because it's 4 feet instead of 6 feet that the wire gauge can be the next size smaller. Does anyone else have this wire can check if the writing on the cord itself says 8/2 & 10/2 or 6/8 & 8/2? Thanks.

I searched the web for a couple months for a cord to fit My kinmore range but had no luck till I found it here while searching for another item when I saw this cord I was shocked it was the perfect cord the one I needed yes people this cord was the holy Grail and i found it here and when I got the cord and installed it everything on the range worked so I decided You should know the price was great a real good deal If you have a kinmore or any other device that needs a cord you can not find then try this store

Great quality.

Very solid construction and works with all 4 wire appliances. It still amazes me that these power cords are not included with the appliances that most people buy. The high quality of this cord is very apparent and I liked the 4 foot option instead of the 6 foot cord. It is much easier to keep this very thick cord out of the way when moving your oven or range back in.

I'm pissed . This photo shows a plug with three flat prongs and one round one.. I got a plug with two flat prongs, a curved one, and a round one so it won't fit my socket.
