Axis 7 leg guardsman

15 yr travel coach here… Love the fit of the intermediate guards for a 5’10” catcher. The intermediate chest protector has weaker clips. The adult chest protector has excellent clips, which is why I didn’t buy the kit and I purchased the pieces separately after having my son try them on in a local store. As a Prime member I expected the shipment 3-4 days sooner than they arrived, but they’re worth the price compared to the closest competitor. If your player is travel or High School level, you should invest in the All Star gear.

All-Star is some of the best catchers gear out there

My son goes through a set of gear each year. He played Varsity level baseball since Freshman year and for a travel team in the summer. When he was younger, he would always want the Under Armour brand, which is made by All-Star. The cost wasn't much of a difference so I'd get that for him. Colors are limited with Under Armour, especially off season when we tried to stretch his last set and we couldn't find a matching set of leg guards that matched his still good chest protector. We decided to go with these, and they color matched perfectly. I think I can finally start buying All-Star gear for him now instead of being limited buying the other brand. This gear has done it's job throughout the years. He's been trucked many times during a play at the plate. He's had to block many a curball in the dirt. The countless foul tips, that make me wince every so often. Is he sore after the game, sure, but the protection does it's job.

Worth it

The media could not be loaded. Bought these for my son this season, he said they are easier to run with and get down to block balls.
