Does it work?

Since we have three cats and one dog, that always stay in the house, I believe the dog must bring the fleas and ticks into the house and then he shares those bugs with the cats. My son takes care of the dog and my husband cares for the cats so, when they are out of something, they turn to Amazon.com to order more. It works!

Good Toothpaste, Not as helpful for breath

We have a small Pomeranian. She has some plaque and breath issues. I bought this toothpaste because the chicken flavored Arm and Hammer toothpaste seemed effective as far as providing a more thorough clean. It doesn’t really help with breath though.

FERRETS LIVE THE TASTE MAKING BRUSHING WAY EASIER

Even my pickiest ferret will lick this off the tooth brush I’d say the smell immediately after brushing isn’t the best but it’s not bad it’s just very different from the minty stuff humans use but all and all it works great and their breath is noticeably fresher days after use so say bye bye to stinky or slightly fishy breath especially after eating salmon oil this helps fix that up quick they love the flavor and it helps keep their teeth healthy and clean and I haven’t seen any new Tatar buildup since I started using this months ago 10/10 would recommend

Fresh breath!

Use the beef tartar control! My puppy's mouth was noticeably dirtier when I used the vanilla fresh breath. If your dog's breath is still bad after brushing, then schedule a teeth cleaning at the vet. I say this because I've been brushing my 10 month old puppy's teeth since I got her at 12 weeks and her breath doesn't stink at all. If you just started brushing an adult dog's teeth, of course toothbrushing alone won't be enough to get rid of years of plaque.

Not our favorite

The smell was pretty pungent and lasted for hours. We went with another product that did not have such a strong smell.

I didn’t try it myself but my dogs think the flavor is good

My dogs love a good toothy brush. Monty is 6 years old and has never needed a dental cleaning at the vet because she says he doesn’t have any plaque or tartar! Mouse is also 6 years old and when I first adopted him two years ago, he had very bad teeth. When the vet did his dental, she found he already had some teeth already missing and had to extract many of the rest due to complete decay. Now that I’ve brushed his teeth almost every day since I got him, he hasn’t needed another cleaning and (what’s left of) his teeth look great! They would both lick this toothpaste right out of the tube if I let them. While I can’t personally speak on the flavor, I did rate it 5 stars based on my dogs’ reactions and how my vet commented on how clean both their mouths are.

EDIT: I have gone from 4 to 5 stars - Had a check up with Vet and he was very happy with the dogs teeth. Also if buying more than one tube, check the prices of multiple singles, prices fluctuate, but might be cheaper to buy several singles than multi-pack. The last type of dog toothpaste I tried was quite runny, but this is about the same consistency as human toothpaste so it is a bit easier to work into the dogs teeth. It has a strong beefy smell to it and that seems to keep my dog interested in it. I really can't say if this is any better than other dog toothpastes as the benefits can only be established over a longer period of time. However, I can say that the dog seems to like it and even looks forward to the nightly routine, though that may have something to do with the denti-stick he gets as a follow up treat. He does like the taste of it as he will quite happily lick the toothpaste off the tooth brush. If your dog has a large build up of plaque then it may be better to have this mechanically removed by the vet beforehand.

It works when done regularly.

I do not like the smell, but it’s better than the rotten breath your dog can get it you don’t take care of his teeth. My Yorkie likes it, and when done regularly it works. Cleans very well the teeth and keeps the breath of my dog relatively under control. :D

Smells disgusting

Humans don’t seem to like the smell of this toothpaste, and the dog doesn’t like the taste. I’ve used several different brands, but this was definitely the one he disliked most
