Lightweight

These are nice and lightweight, I actually thought they wouldn’t be durable but I was sure wrong! These are durable and a lot more heavy duty than they look. They also haven’t dulled out any. Great loppers

Great Tool

No complaints here, the loopers are a great tool when cutting larger tree limbs as well as the smaller ones. I would definitely recommend for residential and commercial use.

Failed on First Use - Don't Waste Your Money

At $35 dollars, and with an advertised cutting ability of "1-1/2 inches," I presumed these loppers would be perfect for some light pruning of bushes and fruit trees. They looked to be well manufactured and robust, and I don't mind spending money on quality. I really looked forward to receiving my purchase. The day my package arrived from Amazon, i immediately opened it, removed the loppers, and stepped outside to try them out on a 3/4-inch twig extending from the trunk of a small mesquite tree. When I encountered difficulty closing the jaws, I stopped to inspect them. I was shocked to find that the blade had literally curled like a potato chip (see photos). "Well," the skeptic in you may say, "you MUST have abused them." No, no I did not. I tried to cut a wooden stick with HALF the diameter of the tool's rated capacity and the tool FAILED on its first use. Properly hardened blades, by the way, do not fail in this fashion--even if the they ARE abused. The ground edge on a properly hardened tool may chip or roll, but there are no circumstances under which the entire blade should yield the way this one did. Given its evident softness, there is no way the blade was properly hardened and tempered, and I judge that to be a manufacturing oversight. Again, this tool was literally incapable of cutting a SINGLE stick of wood without breaking down. I'd prefer not to draw conclusions about the "Corona" brand just yet (I also purchased a set of hand shears, and I haven't yet had opportunity to try them). Perhaps my experience with these loppers was a fluke and I just happened to receive the only lemon that Corona has ever produced. Even the best manufacturer occasionally makes a misstep. On the other hand, even in this post-American-industrial world, where the tool market is routinely flooded with inferior third-world junk, this set of branch trimmers sets a new low for abysmal quality. If I could give this tool a negative rating, I would. Assigning any score above ZERO is unjustifiably complimentary. For what it is worth, this is the first time I've had the misfortune of having to return something purchased from Amazon; the process is comparatively easy.

Favorite Tool.

I have one for both my places as to have them handy no matter where I am. I recently lent one and it was returned with a ripped off rubber grip. I am a gal and so my arm strength is not the greatest and I often use my body to squeeze the clipper against and that rubber grip is a must have. I could not find a rubber replacement grip so got me another clipper..they are the best!

Great value

I don’t know why folks are saying this tool broke quickly...we have 12 trees in our yard and they had not been trimmed in a couple of years. This tool did a great job...remember the size limitation! But pretty much...if it fits into the opened jaws, you’re fine. And keep it clean...wipe off any sap/debris, and lubricate it occasionally. Finally, 2 weeks after I bought this we had a storm and lost a 30 foot oak tree. Every bit of the tree under 1-1/2” was cut up using this tool. For $25??? Buy this one!!!

Grips slip!

These are pretty much top of the line loppers and I've finally gotten to the point where I can afford them. Unless they get stolen, I don't plan on buying another pair. As the other reviewers have noted, the grips do slip around, so I knocked off a star for that. If you have Corona shears, the grips are quite firm and do not compare to these flimsy foam grips. Otherwise, these loppers are a quality item manufactured in China.
