Unique and pretty but very dim

This nightlight is so unique and pretty! It does not give off much light at all and seems to wait until it is completely dark to come on instead of “dusk”. Also, mine arrived scuffed up (shown in pic) even though the packaging was not damaged.

Beautiful, But Not Sensitive To Dark

I really love how this looks in my foyer -- it’s sleek-looking and looks like it has substance (i.e., it doesn’t look flimsy). The bulb works in well with a touch-of-vintage decor, i.e., where one might want a blend of old and new to add interest to a room. The style fits “old is new” taste. I deducted one star ONLY because the light detection is way, way off. It picks up light from another room such that it fails to activate. I want a night light that is on when a room is dim. When I placed the order for this one I also ordered a pair of another design, which do activate. I took the suggestion of another reviewer to cover the light sensor to trick it into staying on. The itty-bitty exposure at the side of the sensor now activates it when the foyer dims. I am also hoping that the bulb holds up because I read that there are no replacements; further, I haven't checked to see if I can access the bulb to [perhaps] replace it with a regular [non-light sensing] bulb that [hopefully] will operate despite the presence of the sensor. If I buy more night lights I will avoid the light-sensing ones, even though I'm quite please with the other set I bought which also could present a dilemma when it's time for bulb replacement.

Nice to look at!

Looks nice on my kitchen counter. The light would turn off with even a little light so I put masking tape on the sensor to make it stay on always.

Loved it while it lasted

This light was in constant use in my home for about 14 months and then it just stopped working. I had hoped that I could change the light bulb however it does not appear that that will be possible.

Very sensitive.

We like the appearance of these nightlights, and they provide a great deal of light at night. My only problem with them is that they do stay on most of the day - even a hint of shadow causes them to come on. I wish they were not so sensitive, but at least we can walk around the house at night because of the amount of light they emit.
