Stopped working after one use

Stopped working after just one use. It seems like a quality build and well-made, but only charged my standard battery once before it stopped working altogether

One and Done

I ordered this battery maintainer June, 2020 and installed it in my boat July. I plugged it in for the first time Jan 2, 2021 to keep the battery charged during lay-up. Plugged it in and nothing - no LEDs, nothing. Disconnected it and contacted the manufacturer, ProMariner to initiate the warranty process. Received and prompt reply with an RMA number and instructions to ship it back to them for evaluation at my expense. $26.00 UPS ground (using my discount) to return a $40.00 charger. Not a wise choice. The date stamp on the serial number label is 2006. (not a typo). Suggest those looking at this product consider a different choice.

PATHETIC PRODUCT - VERY DISAPPOINTED

Unit worked 2x in 3 months with LEDs not lighted up on the 3rd use - Cost $17 per charge ! I’ve been a very pleased owner of other Guest chargers but this 1 is not even an attractive paper weight…

Gets to hot for safe use on a boat

Got this to charge an extra battery on the boat that not connected to any of our system batteries for electric reels. I charged a battery at my home with it and after 1 hour this was hot, 170°F on my infrared measurement. I will never put this on my boat.

Appears to be as advertised

So far it does exactly as advertised. Easy to mount, looks good, and keeps my trolling motor batteries charged without overcharging them.
