Attractive spa-like space-saver

I have had this shelf for a couple months and am very happy with it. It wasn't too hard to assemble alone, though it took a little creativity to prop up the shelf pieces as I assembled it and some muscle with the allen key to get the screws in. I managed, though my thumb was pretty sore afterwards. The top of the lowest (stabilizer) bar is 6.25 inches. My water pipe fit above it thankfully but I read some other reviews where people were unable to install the lower bar because the pipe fixture was at the same height of the bar. The shelf was not sitting evening and I discovered my floor was uneven, so I added some press in furniture bottom protectors and that made the shelf even and sturdy. I love that this is solid wood. The shelf is wide and holds a lot. It has gotten a few tiny dings and chips in it already (third pic), but being real wood I don't care because it just adds character and I can touch up with paint. When I first put it together I thought it looked very stark and like a wide utility shelf, and wished I had bought the espresso colour to match the tile accent instead. I decided to warm it up with baskets and decorations and now the white slatted shelf feels functional, bright, and airy. This shelf was a good choice for a small bathroom with limited storage and a window above that prevented me from getting a taller shelf. I really maximized the available storage space and feel like I turned my bathroom into a mini-spa. :)
