Battery Disconnect
Bought this for my RV so I could disconnect the battery while changing batteries or working on the cables to avoid aprking. I mounted it inside the RV so not a good test of weather proofing. It mounted easily and works well.

Great for automotive use.
I have an older truck with a parasitic drain. After hours of chasing it around this was the perfect solution. I just switch it off and kill the power to the battery. I've had no issues since. Would definitely recommend.

It works for me
It works just fine. You will have to figure out how to mount it. I used stainless screws in place of the provided bolts and screwed it to a thick piece of plastic that is glued to the hull. You will need a method of weatherproofing. It comes with a couple tabs that you can cut out for cable entrance and exit but they will need to be sealed up if used around moisture.

Switch ON Switch OFF
I recently install at battery ground disconnect device to turn the power off to my ignition on my truck when parked. Although the main battery was disconnected I was getting power from my aux camper battery. This switch isolated the aux battery. Now the truck can't be started without switching the batteries to on. I used long sheetmetal screws to attach to my exposed under the hood wheel well. This will also isolate the camper battery from the main when camping.

Seems heavy duty enough.
I made a custom (2 battery) booster pack and this is the main switch to allow power to flow after the booster cables are hooked up. So far the switch is working great (4 months of daily boosting).

Solution I Needed
Not only allows for the primary and secondary battery to be ganged together in parallel during the use of a large inverter with the engine running, it also allows the secondary battery to start the vehicle with the primary battery disconnected. Nicely manufactured, easy to install. Comes with stainless mounting hardware.

This should be standard equipment!
Clean. Durable. Easy. Effective. I bought three of these and plan on buying three more. Phantom drain had been a big problem for me. In the winter, if the battery drains and freezes you are out a couple of hundred dollars. This is cheap Insurance.
