Beefy but key hole cover needs work

So far so good. Door to protect the key hole is hard to snap closed at first and then wears to the point that it does not really snap tight.My purpose for this was to have a weather tight lock for a cellar door so need a good seal.

Shackle was too wide for lock

Sorry to say that the shackle was too wide for my lock. Otherwise it would have been wonderful to have something this nice!

Big and heavy and nice overall quality!

This is a pretty large padlock! Has a very nice weather resistant covering and at a reasonable price. The keys were a little sticky to use at first, but after a few rotations in the lock, it works like a champ! The only thing which I hesitated on was the plastic piece which snaps over the key hole is made out of a thinner plastic rather than silicone, and in colder climates, it may be a material which will break when it is cold...so wish it was made out of the same covering material...time will tell...but still this is a winner product.

Well built, but ...

Pro: Appears to be very well designed against weather Con: There are no instructions on how to rekey it I own rental property. I was attracted to this lock because it used a Kwikset 5 pin keyway. The lock appears to be very well built. However, I was hoping that I could rekey it. There are no instructions on how to do this. I called the manufacturer and they said that the lock would have to returned to them to rekey it. This isn't practical every time a tenant moves. I may see if a professional locksmith can change it, or I may have to return it.

It works as expected, but to break the key ...

It works as expected, but to break the key cylinder loose, had to put it in the freezer for a while. The laminate preservative they use cements it into the shackle

Be Careful

Shackle is even bigger (thicker) than it looks to be in pictures. Make sure your clasp can handle the larger size.
