Charger cable plug not made for U.S.

This electric corkscrew comes with a European plug on end of charger cable. We have had to order a U.S. plug adapter!

Unreliable

I liked this product enough initially that, when the corkscrew became bent and stopped working after months of good use, I ordered it again. Unfortunately, this time the corkscrew broke off completely after a single use. The wine bottles were all standard size, room temperature and similar brands with corks that were easily removed by manual corkscrews. Maybe I was just unlucky, but returning broken products is a pain. I have to hope that another brand will have better quality control.

Suitable for continental use only

This came with a continental plug. This was not disclosed so disappointing as a present. Buy one with an English plug, most for less than half the price. Very poor description.

Solid, Powerful, Easy to Use - Great Rechargable Feature - Well worth the money

I have tried numerous electric wine openers over the years and this one is by far the best. It is a solid, powerful opener that is very easy on the operator....you do not have to be strong to hold it in place. I love the charging base as it is always charged when I need it vs having to fiddle with changing batteries when you are trying to open a bottle of wine. The foil cutter is not the best but it is functional. I've only had the unit for a month so I can not speak to how it holds up over time but based on how solidly built & powerful it is, I expect it is going to last a long time. It is by far the most expensive electric wine opener I have purchased but it is DEFINATELY worth the money.

Benutze seit über zehn Jahren Pfeffermühlen mit Mahlwerken von Peugeot und war immer hochzufrieden. Folglich lag es nahe, wenn schon einen elektrischen Flaschenöffner zu kaufen, dann einen von Peugeot oder mit deren Antrieb. Der Öffner ist kinderleicht zu bedienen: einfach über den Flaschenhals stülpen und leicht nach unten drücken. Zum Herausziehen des Korkens dann den großen Knopf betätigen und der Korken wird aus der Flasche herausgeschraubt. So zumindest die Theorie. In der Praxis klappt es bei uns fast nie, bestenfalls zur Hälfte kommt der Korken aus der Flasche, dann verliert der Öffner den Kontakt zu ihm. Manchmal kann man anschließend mit einiger Kraft den Korken händisch herausziehen, meist muss aber ein nicht elektrischer Öffner her. Vielleicht haben wir hier einfach ein Montagsgerät erwischt, keine Ahnung. Er geht jedenfalls zurück.

Mit einger Mühe während der Laufzeit ist er nach 4 Jahren gestroben

Der Oeffner hat bei uns innerhalb von 4 Jahren ca. 1000 Flaschen geöffnet. Bei einigen lief es gut, bei einigen bekundete er doch Probleme und einige Flaschen konnte er gar nicht öffnen. Auch der Auswurf von Korken funktionierte nicht immer einwandfrei und man musste mit Hilfsmitteln den Korken festhalten damit dieser wieder rauskam. Eigentlich ein stabiles Produkt aber viel zu viele Mängel. Nach rund 4 Jahren hat er nun den Betrieb eingestellt. Werde jetzt ein anderes Produkt kaufen.
