Long lasting, waterproof as described, ok on my sensitive skin

This is the first eyeliner that I purchased that is not in pencil or liquid form so I don't know what to compare it to. The texture is kind of creamy, a little on the thicker side, actually more like a paste. I wish it were slightly more creamy smooth, moist, maybe mine is starting to dry out. Not sure. It piles up in the brush (not included) so I have to dab it on a paper towel or q-tip to get the excess off. I purchased the Eclipse color, black I guess. When I apply it, it doesn't apply as rich black immediately, it takes two or three layers for me to achieve the dark black that I would with a liquid liner, or even a pencil liner. Maybe it's lack of experience, but I can't get it to lay on heavy with one stroke of the brush. Nice product otherwise, it lasts a long time on my eyes, and it's waterproof enough that when I had some on my hand, the regular bar soap would not remove it, not easily, I needed to use eye makeup remover. So no complaints about how long it lasts. I have sensitive skin and I normally have severe allergic reactions to eyeliner but with not this one. There are a few other brands I've used that do not cause a reaction on my skin so just keep looking if this gives you any kind of skin problem. I'm extremely hesitant to purchase new eye makeups because of my skin issues and I'm glad this one worked out. But when you test the product on sensitive skin, make sure you don't have to go anywhere immediately after, lesson learned.

Goes on nicely

The color I purchased was a shimmery brown. It's a beautiful color. It glides on to your eyelids smoothly and is easy to make a nice, pretty line. It could be used as an eyeshadow too. Long wearing and did not transfer to my upper lid. I do use an eyelid primer before putting this liner on. Will buy in other colors!

This is brown, not purple.

I was looking forward to getting this “purple” eyeliner, but it’s brown, which I could have easily picked up anywhere.

Not bad!

For the price, this isn't a bad gel liner. As a fan of black eyeliner in general, and gel liners in particular, I decided to take the opportunity to get this for a discounted price so I could review it. I chose "Eclipse." First of all, the color: With more than one layer, you can achieve a dark, bold black. However, applying more product does seem to up the risk of smudging later in the day. With only one layer, the color is a matte black that's a bit translucent. The application: The texture is smooth and applies easily with both a pointed and an angled brush. It allows you a bit of working time before drying and setting. The wear: I did have a bit of undereye transfer after a few hours, especially when I applied more than one coat. It wasn't raccoon-like, however. I often have trouble with liner and mascara smudging because of my deep-set eyes. I wore this only on my upper lid, both to tightline and for a winged line. Experimentation: With a bit of black shadow applied over it, it smudged less and was (obviously) deeper in tone. Setting spray almost entirely took care of the problem.

Smooth eyeliner

I like this smoky blue grey eyeliner. It goes well with my blue grey eyes. It applies very easily and cleans off from your brush easily. During the allergy season I have watery eyes and there is some smudging when my eyes water. That said it stays in place better than most eyeliners. I really like this product. Having sensitive eyes some eyeliners really cause problems. This does not irritate my eyes at all. Well unless I accidentally stick the brush in my eye but then again I doubt that is the eyeliner. :) As with other SHANY products it is top of the line without being top dollar. I recommend and will be looking to purchase more colors.

Purple liner is actually a brown color

I had ordered the purple liner, hoping it was as vibrant as pictures. Very disappointed to find that the liner is more of a muddled brown with a slightly wine undertone. I thought the problem was with the first order that I received, but it proved to be the case for the replacement as well. The consistency of the gel is fine, but it's not at all purple.

Love these eyeliners!

I ordered this eyeliner in 3 colors - legendary (green),Mermaid Flirt (blueish) and Fairytale (blueish). I love pot gel eyeliner, which I apply with a SUPER micro-thin brush. I find they stay on well and a little cream on a qtip helps to correct any mistakes. I like a little bit of color and variety, and it is very hard to find pot gel liners in colors other than black brown navy! I decided to try these and I was very pleased. The legendary green one is the most accurately represented in the photos - the other 2 were not quite as vibrant as the photos advertize, but I still love them. Really enjoying these!

Color not as expected.

The color in the picture and the color in real life are pretty different. I am disappointed by that and can't really use it due to the rather large flakes of glitter (which I was not expecting). I just got a Shany eye shadow palette and I love it, so my review has nothing to do with the quality of the product. It applied easily and stayed on, but it definitely was not what I wanted or was expecting. I'm giving it 3 stars for that reason.

Flat out waste of money

If I could give zero stars I would. This eyeliner came TODAY and I got ready to use it, I opened it up, realized there was much less in the container than pictured, dipped my plush in and... nothing. It was completely dried out. Nothing I did picked up any colour.
