Need to install creatively for effective use

(See attached photo) If you install as directed, this will happen more often than not. OR, the ball will go between hoop, net, and backboard altogether. I ended up wrapping the Velcro straps around the cross member of my "Goalrilla" H-frame. Once I did this, the ball return worked much better. This is still a great alternative to a more expensive shooting machine ($500+). You only need to figure out the best way to connect to your specific hoop.

Weak velcro

As soon as unboxing and installing, I noticed the velcro that’s holding in the lateral rod is not staying shut. I always have close it to keep the rod in but it never stays shut. Also, the water bag is detached (7 months later) from the net; likely from sun damage. It’s a great net, but it’s super annoying that the velcro (1 side) doesn’t stay shut. Wouldn’t have purchased if I knew it had weak velcro. Have to figure out a way to keep the rod in place.

A great product

I really like this product because it meant not relocating my basketball post. You will recover about 90% of your shots - depending on the angle. When tightening the metal bag, beware of the tiny metals at the end. This metal bags houses the water-bags (anchors). I gave them 5 stars because this product really saved me the time, money, and effort of boring a hole in my driveway.

Pretty good start.

This does rebound the balls. But I think it would work better if it was attached in the rear and if you attached the bottom bar to the bottom of the back board. This was a christmas present and the hooks have already broke that hold the net top three bags, so I have replaced them w carabiners. But overall it was inexpensive and very easy to install.

Does the job!

Gets the job done! Especially for center court shots. Very pleased with the results. Sturdy and not so bulky.

Exactly what I need .

Kind of expensive for just a net , but it works . The 2 bags that came with it suppose to hold water to keep the net in place start leaking after 2 weeks .

Helps to keep from chasing basketballs

After years of running after basketballs that went behind the backboard this device returns them back to you. Very good for a freestanding pole and backboard. Works fairly well. Periodically you have to get on a ladder and readjust the netting. It is fairly durable but don't let the kids hang on the netting, they can rip the stitching. Also if you have big teenagers that want to dunk the ball they must not crash into net. Mine is already in need of repair but it is not a defect in the net, just big kids crashing into it.

Good product design - quality should be better

The Goliath Basketball Return system works well but some of the components should be higher quality. 1. One of the bags to weight it down had a hole in it out of the box so I could not use water and had to go buy a couple bags of sand to fill them with. 2. The attachment for the straps to the top of the rim support was a piece of double sided foam tape. It came off from the straps in the first couple days. I drilled a hole through the straps and the rim support and put a screw in so they don't fall to the sides or come off the front of the rim in the wind.
