I work as a plumber. I have multiple levels. This one is a good value for the buck. Seems accurate, and well built for what it is. Magnet is weak but works ok. The red is easy to spot, so shouldn't get lost as easily. I have billet aluminum ones for nice work in a mechanical room, and this one would be acceptable there. But the Swanson is very nice for the grade option for drain pipe, especially for underground work.

Cheap, effective, magnet works, just don't drop it in the cold.

It's cheap, but it works for the price. I used it for installing a wall mount. Checked against a few other levels and it seems accurate to them. The magnet is basically a thicker fridge magnet material, which is soft and will likely mark light coloured surfaces.
